in HK the purpose of the car is "make you look good" and not "tools for travelling"

well back in 1997 it was.

now no one cares we got shit boxes challenging the most expensive out there for lane space and the expensive cars usually give in. LOL I know coz I shipped my better cars to Vancouver and I'm driving a shitbox now. Lanechanging is a breeze when your car is cheaper than the other car's wing mirror.

you will be amazed how many professionals or rich people don't own a car in
HK...judges, branch managers, district directors, regional managers, doctors,
accountants, they all take trains/MTR or minibus...Their toys are all in stock

I simply am in awe in the fact that there are so many huge GTA-style accidents on the roads in HK everyday and they are cleared so swiftly compared to North America. statistics on newspaper says there were 284 traffic accidents in last week alone killing 3 people (2 died this morning around 6am) and injuring 388 people...

There was a typhoon signal 8 (all offices/stores closes for that) last week and the bus driver claimed there was a strong cross wind that made him veer into the guardrail

they still have those buses now??
i thought they were all gone 5+ years ago! it's summer and those buses have no a/c! why would ANYONE ride that?

Yea, their fare price is like half of the AC ones?

One of those bus drivers had to pull over and call 999 (911) cause he starting getting heat stroke last month!

back to the accidents the deathtoll today and today only came to 3 as there was one police officer who mysteriously hit a solid object and flew off his bike.

somehow his helmet came off his head and his head came off his shoulder..... don't know how that happened but it happened.

also there were 4 fatalities in a serious fire in Mongkok. Condolences to the families of the dead.
