Also note if it happens a second time there will be no discount on the overage. If you have an iPhone without a data plan it is highly recommended that you call in to customer service and have your data usage disabled. | THANK YOU for posting this. When I initially called them, they refused to do anything because he believed for some reason that I did not have a fido iphone or any proof that it was a fido iphone, and they only deal with fido iphones. So he sent me to a store to prove it was a fido phone, I gave it to the guy at the store and said it is not unlocked and theres a fido sim card in it, bought locally and theres no rogers branding on the back, he looked at it and hes like, I still cant confirm its a fido phone, and you jailbroke it so what you mean its not unlocked, (as far as I know jailbreaking and unlocking are two different things), correct me if im wrong. HOLY F*CK i was so angry at this point. So then I ask him if he can please just call the CSR because he told me to come down here, he calls the CSR, a different csr tells him that they can check on their computers whether or not its fido, and it served no purpose for me to go into an actual fido location. So NOW they believe that its actually a fido phone...2 hours later. So I call their customer service line again, the initial guy I talked to said he would flag me incase I called again, probably because I was pissed off so they gave me some very calm/ well spoken woman, who debated with me for a while about the data. eventually she caved in and said, all I can give you is 70$ credit, I said no, I want 300$ credited back. Then instantly she says, ok I'll give you 50% of your total bill but thats it. IF i hadnt had known that there was a chance of 50% off, I probably would have stopped at the 70$ credit out of frustration.
