TD Emerald Low Interest Card.

Interest rate is calculated on how good your interest is. The better the interest the lower the rate. Goes as low as Prime + 1 or some shiet like that

Mananetwork 06-19-2008 01:41 PM

I dislike TD, they keep fucking calling every month or something. Leave me alone!

I like RBC, you can choose where you want your points to go, Reward/Travel/Gifts

For visa I am using the RBC Rewards. I am thinking of switching to RBC Cathay Pacific Asia Miles card. Does anyone have this one? Is it good?

Narayan 06-19-2008 03:07 PM

RBC Avion Plat as well... but in August I will be getting the Avion Infinite card!

RFlush 06-19-2008 03:13 PM

What is so good about the Avion Plat? It's cheaper yearly compared to the Cathay pacfic but how long does it take to collect points to use for a flight?

OffroadZuki 06-19-2008 03:28 PM

RBC low interest...got sick and tired of paying 19% haha...switched to 12% now...soooo much nicer...once I get it paid off (as soon as I get my tax return!!!) I'm gonna switch to an Air Miles card, I think

RFlush 06-19-2008 03:31 PM

I dont think Visa has an Air Miles card. Only AMEX and Mastercard

OffroadZuki 06-19-2008 03:58 PM

my bad, forgot we're talking strictly VISA...

Can someone using the Avion Plat answer my questions please. WHy are you guys using that card? Do you guys fly alot? I really want to make the switch in cards, but paying $120 annually is not appealing to me, and was wondering if it is better than the Cathay Pacific card

Every $1 spent = 1point
Every 100points redeemed = $1 towards any airline no restrictions. Tickets are grouped in zones ie: North America / Europe / Asia etc...

For example: you will need to redeem 100,000 points for an economy ticket on any airline to anywhere in asia.

As well, you can redeem points for gift certificates to larger retailers ie: Futureshop/ HBC Stores (Zellers/Bay/Homeoufitters/etc)/SportChek/GolfTown/etc.... 30,000points will get you approx $250 in giftcerts.

There are many other benefits as well, too much to list.

IMO if you spend alot on your Visa, Platinum is the way to go!!
