Canucks also signed Rob Davison today too. Very good depth signing, guy plays with heart, hits hard and decent fighter, also very good locker room guy.

Somebody has to be traded and my guess would be Bieksa at 3.750M next season. Salo or Ohlund could also get traded since they're at 3.5M but the Canucks would get a better offer with Bieksa. Ohlund is heading into his final season of his 3.5M contract so I wouldn't be surprised if he is shipped off.  | |

I think we could get more for Bieksa on the open market. Another forward to complement the Sundin Demitra Bernier additions would be nice.

if we're gonna lose a d-man my guess is Salo or Bieksa.
the trade would have to be designed so that we can free up cap room. who in the league has a need for a defenseman like either of those two and is willing to give up a player who makes less than $2.5m that has second line potential? it's either that or draft picks.
