[ jay ] - nah mang perhaps wrong use of words. I love the nucks, loved and stood by them for 20 years now. I'm optimistic about our team this year on paper but waiting to see how we actually do is what I meant.
Fuck Sundin period. Good on Gillis for not rushing to just grabbing somebody for the sake of doing it just because we have about $10mill to use. We have a luxury rite now no other team really has and that is money. Our team is not too bad rite now at all. Arguably we are missing that 1 player. Tons of teams are really close to and some even over atm. With our amount of money left over and with teams with little or no money we could come and get a player from another team for probably less. Perhaps a Gaborik or something part way through the season with his future uncertain there is a possibility. There are also lots of other possibilities but we'll see what happens. Either way I'm hyped for this season like I am every season. Go Canucks!

^he was hardly the reason why they didnt make the playoffs...you ever watch him play? 30 goal scorer, 70+ point big powerful center. Panthers didn't make the playoffs due to poor management..eg trading luongo. Besides Boumeester name someone on their defence that is legit Top 4 in the NHL.

Sure some of these teams might just spend to the cap too but looking at those teams, yuck. Of course a player might find one of those teams more attractive then Vancouver but I still think we are in a better shape over them except maybe Toronto because everyone wants to play in the center of the universe.

wellwood - lazy but awesome teammate
jokinen - good but probably a whiny bitch that puts everyone down
i said this last yr when the rumor of sedins for jokinen was a joke. if he's so good and with loungo playing there why didnt they make it far? hell, making the playoffs was a challenge. jokinen is overrated. they went nowhere with him.

With no supporting cast whats a team with only one good forward and and a great goaltender? They had no legit top 4 defense. Only Boumeester. Forwards that were above average were Jokinen, Weiss, and Horton. With your logic since we didn't make the playoffs last year I guess Luongo is overrated and we should ship him off to?
