Taking 2 classes. Upass in my possession.

Times I've used upass in 2 semesters = 1.

How can i give my damn uPass back? I truly do not need it...

StealthFighter 05-04-2010 12:14 AM

you can try to apply for exemption. doubt most of you meet the criteria, but worth a try right?

How else is he going to pay for the classes?

G 05-05-2010 09:27 PM

^huh? I don't think I know you, but I definitely have enough money to pay for my classes... I just asked for tips and how the classes are. Don't follow the footsteps of Alphamale or else you will end up with 50 Black prison cocks in your ass.

oh cool im taking 120 too. i took this last fall and failed lol. tips i would have would be to not fall behind on the labs/assignments stuff and actually do them and understand them well hehe

oh and macm101 is with Steven Pearce. all i can say about that is good luck haha. that guy is one of (if not THE) worst profs in the world. funny guy and all but just a horrible horrible prof. you can check ratemyprof and you'll see im not alone on this. i took macm101 with him last fall. he was the only thing that stopped me from retaking it this summer (since i got a D last fall), and made me plan to take it this fall...that is if he's not teaching it again lol :D

i took cmpt 120 with brad bart and macm 101 with steven pearce last fall too.

For cmpt 120, you basically just do all your assignments and go to labs. Brad bart uses things from the labs and uses those code for assignments. Everything up to the topic of recursion was fine for me. The final assignment might be hard but yeah. Class average for that class won't be too high so don't need to worry.

crap.. didn't multi quote ><

As for macm 101 with steven pearce, all I can say is good luck. Before midterms, he will show a past midterm and ask you guys if you guys want him to e-mail them to you. He'll want you to say yes and he'll say no. Quickly copy those questions down because they are likely to be the same on the midterm. Whatever he says during lectures that will be on the midterm, will be on the midterm. As for final... he'll tell you a general idea what is on the final and just memorize those equations.. The average for that class is below 50% for sure when I took it and I think its bell curved or scaled.

For CMPT 120, if you have any programming experience its a piece of cake. I did very little work for that class. Assignments and labs were easy as hell. Assignments were 30 minutes (final one took me about 2 hrs, was fairly lengthy), labs were 10 minutes at most. Mind you i have a lot of prior coding experience. I didnt know so many of you guys were in my class in fall with Bart. I did really well on everything and only ended up with an A-.

As for MACM, have fun. I heard Bart is the best one to take that with, so I'm waiting for him to teach it before i take it.

Are you doing the joint business/comp sci degree?

G 05-06-2010 08:02 PM
