I don't think there are any good places to eat up on the mountain. Everything in my opinion is terrible. Could always go down to brentwood if you have the time, but if not that sucks.

DUDE this class is so fucked up. i looked at the questions day before tutorial. was like k ill go to tutorial and maybe ill get it. TUTORIAL DIDNT DO SHIT. the TA talked so fucking fast and the notes nor the textbook help with the problem set. i think we are all fucked for this class to be honest.

I understood it.... =/ Which TA do you have? I have MeiJie or something, she's horrible, I mean, I've never had a TA this bad before. It's obvious English isn't her first language, and also, she writes like a guy. Mix that together your just like wtfuck? But good thing I can read horrible writing cause I write horribly myself so that helped a bit... Most of the problem set answers were from Varian textbook, barely any stuff from lectures (lectures = useless almost). I'm just scared the prof makes some retarded midterm / final.... He really needs to fix his teaching ability. And also, that bald asian fellow never ceases to disappoint me :D

Why is it that so many econ ta's have accents? Most of the econ ta's I've had speak with a heavy chinese accent and my ta for 345 has some kind of south american accent.

I had Frank Gao last term and that guy was probably the worst of them all.

Yea, Georgi, first time teaching. I think he should stick to being a TA and PHD student more. Maggie (MeiJie) seems like she knows her stuff but hard to understand... =/

You guys are reading the Varian book right? just do the questions and see if you understand them. I remember there's a study guide as well, those questions are pretty helpful for practice. It's just Lagrangian optimization, IE/SE, normal/inferior goods, Edgeworth Box, etc.

How big is the class? maybe you can go to another tutorial that doesn't have a fobby TA. It sucks that you guys have assignments though.. the least enjoyable thing of being a TA is I HATE MARKING! :mad:
