Anyone know when we (the burnabyers) can take surrey classes? For fuck's sake ... this is kind of humiliating .. i actually have to wait to get into something at surrey :fullofwin:

Pretty much everyone's enrollment date has come now right? So if there's a surrey class I want and I wait until the date that it opens up to burnabeers chances are I'll get a spot?

Haven't taken CRIM 104, but I took CRIM 101 with Barry Cartwright and it was so unbelievably easy. He's supposed to be easy for 104 as well.

POL 100 wasn't that bad. Had that with Logan Masilamani, lectures were boring but he's really knowledgeable. Term paper is 8 to 10 pages, a lot more than most 100 level classes. Just basic politics/government material for the most part.

8-10 pages....

btw why is the class capacity 75 for crim 104... does that mean they will open more space later ??

probably not. in my opinion, any lower division crim is really really easy. im speaking from a DE perspective at least.

One person has to drop PSYC 100 in Surrey and my schedule is good to go.

BUS 360W, BUS 336, PSYC 100, CRIM 135 is my plan.

FI-Z33 03-25-2011 08:02 AM

FI-Z33 03-25-2011 11:30 AM

don't you guys just hate it when you're in a lecture room and some guy keeps shaking his leg...the chairs are freaking connected for gods sake...STOP SHAKING YOUR LEG. so annoying. /rant.

mc. 03-25-2011 01:30 PM

i dont know about polisci, but if you hate reading dont take english, there is so much reading.

take phil if you can read and understand stuff pretty well.

3klipze 03-25-2011 04:58 PM

^ thanks for advise, i need 2W courses, so i might take 1 phil and 1 english course.

korroke 03-26-2011 12:46 AM

Need advice on Phil 100w (Martin Hahn) and Phil 120w (Jennifer Warriner) ... according to rate my prof, they both seem to be "okay" profs. So it all comes down to which course is easier to understand.

You think that'll be a hard term? I figured it would be decent. I know BUS 360W is a ton of work, but 336 is mostly just exams, as is CRIM 135.

And I'm taking CRIM 135 with Shafik Bhalloo in Surrey. My friend that have taken BUS 393 with him have said he's awesome, so I'm not too worried.

Now or in the summer? I'm taking it now in Surrey, tons of writing! If you mean the summer, and you have Bob Korth, just be warned that you should start working on the essays in advance. I always left them until the last minute, and I'm hovering right around the average. But at least, since his class is entirely paper-based, this past week was the last paper to hand in. Now just have to attend the last two lectures for the final 2% of attendance marks.
