^ mountain hardwear has a jacket called 'escape'. its a gore-tex performance shell and its less than $300. its not the sexiest jacket of them all, but it'll keep you dry and it wont cost a ton of cash. lifetime warranty, too

far west in richmond probably has them.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT order something from lvr. First they charge a flat rate for international shipping, then they charge shipping rates (which are quite expensive) all in euros. If you are ordering that jacket i recommend either eluxury.com or diabro.net. If you want to try to find it locally your best bet is Holt Renfrew and Leones or Enve.

unfortunately they don't have my size and as HB20 stated, they charge an arm and a leg for s&h, i might as well buy it locally or at least order it from the states.

new energie parkas are out...i wouldnt suggest buying one unless u want to see a million other people have the same jacket. Since the only difference they change for each winter parka is the lettering on the back of the hood.

Today was freakin cold in Vancouver and I was reminded that I need something for the fall. I'm looking for a hoodie that's plaid or waffle lined. Any ideas (no AE, Hollister, A&F please)?

I'm also looking for something that I can dress up or down (ex. Blazer) with a hood. Gap has one but I don't like the material that its made of.

A single-breasted navy blue blazer jacket is most useful for men.

can't agree more, hoodies are for high school kids, they don't belong on any jacket no matter how hard you try...

Something with down and fur is pretty much the only thing you can wear when it goes -30, -40 where I live now
For colder days I have a NF Gotham (2007 style), otherwise I wear an energie or a armani winter jacket

like that, in black
Cool jacket! How much did you pay for yours? Also Anybody know of local stores where I can buy this? thanks!

I don't remember hiring you as my fashion adviser. I'm still in school and I can wear whatever I want.

you guys ever heard of casual? whats wrong w/ a hooded jacket?
not everyone is trying to look like the cover of GQ everywhere they go.

explain how wearing something practical like a hooded jacket knocks points off your IQ?

some people here have an individual sense of style and dont get all their fashion tips from mens magazines and fashion websites to see what men SHOULD wear...

Hoodies are fine, just not crazy all-over-print (fake) ones that high school kids rock all the time......
All the jackets I see in here are either the fur hooded ones or peacoats/blazers... the other ones look rather plain or too thin to prove to be warm. Fur hoods are kinda played out since like 4 years ago even though they look good, and the latter is too mature for casual, go-to-school wear.

I would've thought fur lined hoods were completely and utterly played out years ago
