I just looked and didn't see it. They must have just pulled it because my friend got hired there just over a week ago for the class starting mid April. They do hire quite often though check back in a bit if still looking.

Keep in mind Accenture is casual employment only, not full-time hours.

If anyone is interested check the bank call centres like RBC, CIBC, BMO. Good easy way to get your foot in the banking sector without having to go through the teller route.

Generally expect $15-20/hour + bonus up to 10% of wage - share purchase plan usually in place as well

What type of qualifications do employers look for call centre jobs? I don't have a lot of experience, but I do have customer service experience. I'm looking for full time employment in the summer and hopefully get part time when I do go back to school.

I think most the casuals are working fulltime hours if they want to. My wife started out there casual part time 9 or 10 years ago and has never had anything but fulltime even when she first started. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's still like that.

how does one go about applying to a call center, is it through connections or online, drop off resume, fax? and how would you know if theyre hiring?

and is there a directory on what companies offer said positions?

Apply online. Unlike retail stores call centres always have card access of some sort so you won't be able to just walk in and be like hey can I speak to yoru manager?

There's always sites like monster, workopolis etc where you can sort jobs by call centre but of course not all call centres post on these sites. The other option is to just know the names of call centres where you want to apply and just go directly on their website to see openeings. Shaw, Telus, Rogers, Fido, Bell, etc..

Accenture's Call Centre Management team is a joke. I remember writing a skill testing exam for their Helpdesk position couple of years ago, on the test, one of the questions they asked me was "What is the nickname of BC Hydro's server?" (They were supporting BC Hydro during that time, not sure about now.)

Now tell me, how is this relevant to my IT technical skill and how is an external applicant suppose to know that?

Retarded.
