i heard the best time to gamble is between 12 - 3 am becuase by then the casino has usualy reached its quota for the day and can afford to give away some chips, river rock probably makes 100k a day, that casino was payed off in a year and it was like 1 billion or smth i dno cud be wrong ..

but yaeh i went RR 2 nights ago... and i was broke.. but i was ready to lose 100 bucks.. 15 minutes later playing black jack i left with up 400.

now i am fiening to go again but i probablly wont.

I used to play like 75 bucks a hand in BJ... but now that i grew out of that phase i just stick to my 15-30 dollar a hand when i do go casino.

unit 01-28-2009 04:36 PM

^same as my roommate back in the days. guy used to have the same job as me, but played two $200 hands in bj. once the action hands came around, it got real disgusting.

This makes no sense.

100k/day x 365day/1year = 36.5million/year (or 36.6mil/year if a leap year)

How the hell does that even come close to a billion?

Could be wrong? How about.... For god damn sure you are wrong according to your equation.

For 1 billion, it would need to be roughly 2.74 mil a day.

Nvasion 01-28-2009 11:33 PM

pretty sure RR makes over 100k a day.. think of the high roller tables... and even without them.. alot of regular tables people cash out 1000 dollars easily, that adds up.

Also they do not give away chips lol. they dont just automatically switch to a rigged deck for the players to win.

Hondaracer 01-28-2009 11:40 PM

if you have enough money, there are ways to play safe and pretty much guarantee positive results

it's idiots who go into the casino everytime looking to make money, and who dont have enough to chase losses who are devistated time after time

No, we haven't all been there. I haven't, my friends haven't and only a couple of colleagues have experienced this.

You're right though; this is definitely one of those life lessons to learn from.

TheKingdom2000 01-29-2009 12:49 AM

Dota > Casino?

haha some might say so.
but just go to the Casino on Special occasions. people have said this already but it's true.

go with an amount of money you don't losing. it's only for fun and entertainment. if you go to MAKE money. you have already lost the battle.. i guess playing poker is an exception because there is a degree of skill involved.

ImportPsycho 01-29-2009 01:29 AM

slots brings in the money for casinos, tables are unpredictable
sure, games favor house, so what if house wins 100k?, one high roller puts down 100k on vip table and wins, house loses all their profit?
plus all the employees they have to pay to run tables
tables games makes little profit to casino
I heard slot attendent at edge water takes home over 3000 per months, just in tips
that's some sweet gig, walk around write cheqs and take home 4000+- per month? wtf....

hotjoint 01-29-2009 08:13 AM

Nvasion 01-29-2009 08:47 AM

in all fairness, there are lots of people out there who make regular income from the casino

Psykopathik 01-29-2009 10:16 AM

^^ those people are PROFESSIONAL gamblers. maybe 1 out of 10 million people can do it.

its all the wanna be's that think they are "World Series of Poker" calibur that end up getting wiped out and feed the Casinos.

i don't club all that much but how expensive can it get?

I would say if you lose $100 at a table, 30% of it should be the cost of entertainment. If you win, the better.

When you gamble you can get on weeks of winning streaks and one bad day can wipe out your entire streak.

I was winning about $2500-3000 for the last 2 weeks then 2 days ago, got wiped out and lost $2000.
