I've been playing this game everyday for the past week. Fuck I love it.

So much random shit you can find in this game while you're doing quests lol. I stumbled upon Vault 108 and saw all these Gary clones... kinda freaky yet funny how all they say is Gary...? in different tones.

Hondaracer 11-11-2008 02:07 PM

^ if you read about the different vaults on the Brotherhood archives there's some interesting back stories for alot of them

one of them, cant remember which one was set to have it's Nuclear generator fail after 240 months, it also had "Special Conditions" of providing "no typical entertainment" and triple the defensive measures

shitty main story or not, you've gotta give them credit for the detail they go into in the smaller subsections of the game

rubencruz 11-12-2008 05:55 PM

have the power armor and all it does it yells at me... what the hell does it do?

SkinnyPupp 11-12-2008 06:25 PM

I didn't fight a single deathclaw during my first play through

Presto 11-12-2008 07:48 PM

I like how the game saves the location of all movable objects. It's also cool that dead bodies don't disappear. I've been killing traders that visit Megaton. I've built a nice little pile of bodies. I got a visit from some bounty hunters, too. They were a good source of weapons and ammo :).

StylinRed 11-14-2008 06:54 AM

OK so i decided to not wait for dell, told them to cancel my order actually, anyway i installed and patched fallout

when i try to start a new game though it just crashes to desktop.... regardless of my settings, i even turned off everything running in the background... wth is up???

im trying to run it on my laptop.. and it meets the requirements to play it -_-

anyone have any ideas?

I heard you can solve it by using the window mode instead of the full screen mode

thats kind of how fallout 1 and 2 were. the main story was good, but i really enjoyed the optional quests and random map encounters most.

I've tried to stay at Good/Very Good by upping my karma with the purified water guy and scrap metal with the water processing plant guy. I have so much scrap metal, but I can't find Walter, anymore. I think he got killed when I frenzied the protectron, and led him into town :(

I screwed myself over on the purified water from the robot servant at my place in Megaton. I sent him into a frenzy, and he got killed. I didn't think too far ahead on that move. :P

RacePace 11-14-2008 12:23 PM

hehe, you know you're truely evil when you sneak attack crit the water guys (yes, both of them) with a sledge to the back of the head, I love fallout

StylinRed 11-14-2008 12:32 PM

arghhh!! was playing it for a few hours exporing everything on my desktop and BOOOM crashed :/

You want evil? Go to someone's bed, wait till night time, and put a live grenade in their inventory while they're sleeping :haha::haha:

I messed around with the Sandman perk. It lets you stealth kill a person while they're sleeping in bed. The little music they play when you're killing the person is awesome haha

Probably this one

http://i34.tinypic.com/2zybw3d.jpg

thats where i went (arrow) to find the alien blaster

turbomelon 11-14-2008 10:51 PM

lol well initially I thought it was a random encounter:

after seeing this vid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz_Xsv8rqcc

But then i later saw this vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTdu5...eature=related

so yes it does have a static location.

Presto 11-15-2008 11:15 AM

I think the UFO was a random encounter in the previous Fallouts.

turbomelon 11-15-2008 01:31 PM

yeah it was lol.. I loved that little purple bolt shooting ray gun.

lol, I only used Sandman once, to kill Greta in order get Charon. At the point that you get it, I don't find it very useful, don't really need to kill random ppl just for a bit of loot

Hondaracer 01-25-2009 04:26 PM

anyone still playing?

i'm dipping in here and there, the new expansions are gonna be awsome

jnesss 01-25-2009 09:30 PM

I just started and i can't put it down.. lol.
