Network Marketing: Usana

I was just wondering how many of you on the board has been exposed to network marketing, and if so could just give me some basic backround such as Age, Gender, and Ethnicity. The reason im asking is because I recently joined the Usana network marketing and i was wondering how many people and what kind of people would actually join or be interested in this concept and what are the best ways to approach people.

For those that may not know, what network marketing is is it basicly has a base product, in my case Usana (multivitamins, etc etc) and you invite people to join "under you" in a systematic tree format. Directly under you will be two people, and those two people would invite two people each thus expanding your tree exponentially. The more people that are under you, the more money you will be making on a monthly basis.

The person that got me into doing this is starting to make some good coin, and she's already helped me established one side of the tree. But im still haveing plenty of trouble getting people to join.

What are you guys thoughts? Have you been offered to join network marketing? Which one ? What have your experiences been with this ? How do I get people to join?

Personally, i think its quite a good idea. The vitamins from Usana, if you look it up is world famous, and i've felt the change from eating them too. Before i started eating the usana multivitamin packets, it was hard to wake up in the morning. But after i have started taking them, in the morning it has become rather easy to just wake up. I also feel more energized too.

Anyone intersted lol ?

This is the website for anyone thats interested.

Network marketing? or pyramid scheme

Outkast411 11-15-2008 02:57 PM

sounds the exact same as quixtar. It's pretty much a cult
i'd steer clear :nono:

good friends don't pawn vitamins off on their friends.

m4k4v4li 11-15-2008 04:14 PM

friends dont let friends associate with usana

Pocakj 11-15-2008 04:25 PM

For those who haven't heard: I think it's worth listening to.

It doesn't hurt to learn something new ^^

But --

THC I don't think you should bring this here, people don't like it. There are threads from before regarding network marketing etc.

El Bastardo 11-15-2008 04:35 PM

Wait, are you trying to sell Revscene members on an MLM pyramid scheme?

Pocakj 11-15-2008 04:36 PM

I think he's asking more for opinion?

But in case people are interested that would be better?

usana: overpriced supplements and bad nutritional advice

StylinRed 11-15-2008 06:07 PM

breathes pyramid scam all over it

Black SC2 11-15-2008 06:49 PM

I tried the Quixtar thing for a while. They'll try to make you feel really good about what you're doing ( you shouldn't) They'll tell you the products are better than everything else out there (they aren't) they'll tell you that you'll make mega bucks, just like them (all the people I met 'above me' were previously wealthy). They just prey on dumb pricks who think they can make it. (You can't)

Pocakj 11-15-2008 07:05 PM

I've read a couple reviews of supplements in a magazine issued by government nutritional evaluators... Turns out Usana's health products are better than some, they just don't advertise the same way everyone else does, hence why many believe that Usana works.

El Bastardo 11-15-2008 07:08 PM

Pocakj, are you part of Usana? Do you want us to buy from you?

Pocakj 11-15-2008 07:10 PM

I am, but I'm not trying to sell it... Not on RS anyways ^^

I know everyone's gonna tell me to gtfo =(

My friend tried to get me into this a while back. I said No.

$_$ 11-15-2008 10:15 PM

In my opinion, as long as I get to the break even point and get my vitamins, I don't really stress about making money. And hey, my friend is making money, so I don't see the harm ...

Ulic Qel-Droma 11-15-2008 10:23 PM

i know people that religiously use their vitamins.

I think the people that make "money" or whatever the hell off this are only people with a shit ton of connections.

otherwise it's just another vitamin company
