i felt like a moron, blubbered an apology about thinking it was somewhere else and ran away.

too bad you cant just say double double because when you do it yourself at starbucks it just doesnt taste right.

Agreed 111%.

The French Onion Soup is only good at some locations. Most of them have do a crappy job of making it.

Here is the thread from a couple of years ago

fsy82 04-06-2011 08:57 AM

Cost of material (ingredients), shipping, and labour are increasing. It makes sense, even though it sucks, that prices are rising.

spoon.ek9 04-06-2011 09:37 AM

so 2.5 years later, you're still bitching and still don't understand why this happens?

fsy82 04-06-2011 10:19 AM

I understand why it happens and i'm not bitching. I'm just letting people know.

spoon.ek9 04-06-2011 10:23 AM

fair enough, my bad then. anyways, like mentioned in this thread, mcd's raises their prices more often and by a larger margin than timmies. example, filet o fish used to be $2.69 for the sandwich alone, today (when on regular price) it's $3.99. fries and coke have also steadily increased.

unit 04-06-2011 10:28 AM

^its 3.49 regular, 2.99 on sale

spoon.ek9 04-06-2011 10:43 AM

i was close heh. my point remains intact!

they raise prices once a year.....so first raise by 6 cents, then raise by 8 cents. By this time next year, it will be raised by 10 cents.

Remember Tim Hortons raised prices, but unannounced, when HST was implemented as well.

enough of this already..people complain about raising prices of coffee? how about doing something completely different and just don't buy one...drink water!

I'm fine because I don't drink coffee. I think it's the biggest waste of money but to each their own.

It's fine if you do not like coffee, but why do you think it's the biggest waste of money? Or is it because you don't think it's worth $1.50?

On occasion I like the taste of it. I don't drink it every day, but some days where I have early morning classes a nice cup of joe really wakes me up.

Along with the change in the cup sizes the price i guess have adjusted accordingly. The large french vanilla use to cost 2.15 with the old cup sizes now it costs 2.45 with the larger size. not gonna complain cause this cup is huge..lol

fsy82 01-24-2012 08:26 AM

damn just read my first post..it went from $1.79 to $2.45 since 2008. Went up 0.66 cents over the last 4 years

Anjew 01-24-2012 06:49 PM

all the restaurants that raised their prices and blamed it on the HST better adjust it again.........

fsy82 11-20-2014 01:31 PM

Just a heads up..prices going up again

Tim Hortons to raise price of coffee, breakfast sandwiches by 10 cents - Business - CBC News

PiuYi 11-20-2014 01:40 PM

not opposed to this, coffee at timmies is pretty cheap and bkfast sandwiches are reasonable too

MindBomber 11-20-2014 01:53 PM

The quality of Tim Horton's coffee and baked goods began declining and prices began steadily rising nearly a decade ago. Today: the quality of McDonald's coffee is better for a comparable price and the quality of Starbucks is on another level for a little higher price. And, Starbucks doesn't strive to give its jobs all to temporary workers, which I appreciate and is apparent in the service. So, I've switched to Starbucks for my morning coffee.
