I've gone through media school and I know what it takes to put a news story together. There are very few news stories that are 'fair and balanced' and obviously with a topic like street racing it is very easy to villify people. There is no defense to all of the info they had for this story. The Facebook posts, the ginger idiot in the S2000, and your own stupid words was the icing on the cake. Seriously, pack a larger bowl next time they call. Wearing sunglasses won't hide how baked you are. How could have you not seen this coming?

One of the things the car enthusiast community has to realize is that they have to cut their losses and take small victories where they can. Enough kids have wasted enough of their parents money putting cold air intakes and stickers on mom's old Accord and spilled enough blood to give the scene a bad reputation. Events like the ones Revscene hold, with police presence and a positive message, are a good start. But the public has already made up it's mind. Thats a sad reality we all have to face. People are going to judge you if you have an HKS sticker on your front fender, waiting and wondering when you are going to mat the gas pedal and run down some children. Behave yourself in public. Its your duty to avoid acting up lest you receive tickets and VIs for stupid reasons thanks to people like Freddy here.

ummm... am I the ONLY one who has seen Vancouver TS videos on youtube? All street racing... especially video of a certain black car with red angel eyes?!

Come on... when one of the members of our forum through up a VTS event a few members dug into it and we all saw what happens at these "meets" on "the strip"...

even if you google Vancouver TS... you first come up with many references to tranny's lol...

And then on the second page an image from a youtube video... two cars lining up... video has been deleted... of course this couldn't be street racing... :P

Nothing is set in stone yet, ie things could be worse for next year.

As it stands, looks like there is only going to be 6 weekends where we are allowed to run on BCDC, and these dates will be shared by VCMC, UBCSCC, BCMA, and Porsche Club.

Noise complaints. About AutoX. When the skidpad is on airport land. The wind must be blowing in waaay from the east, cuz something sure stinks.

And some retarded kid and his street racing in front of the Mayor's house email.

The media is in the business of telling & selling people what they want to hear, nothing more.

Driving fast = Street racing.

Street racers = Specific underground crowd of young people.

Tasers = will kill you. (Would you rather be incapacitated by a taser, or incapacitated by a steel baton... or a hollow point bullet or five?)

Media = biased, and unreliable. Opinions and facts should never be based on what they say alone..
