"police are shaking their heads.." *cues tim fanning shaking head that was the only good part about the video. |
lol hypa... i like going fast, but on a track with turns, i dont like going fast just down a straight road. |
Freddy - you suck Dumbfuckkid in the S2000 - you suck even more than Freddy. I hope like hell the cops showed up at your trailer and impounded your POS Honda and threw you in jail. Enough of this shit. You can't possibly defend racing on the street - period. Mission has the drag strip open Friday nights Spring - Fall & track days available as well. There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER to race on the streets. Grow up. TIM |
I wonder if that group will be smart enough to show at DTP this year... :twirleye: |

Wow, the story will be on The National later with Peter Mansbridge tonight (after 9). I just saw a short clip of it. |
but with all the so called "fishbowl media circus" surrounding vancouver over the..i dont know..FOREVER you shoulda either turned down the interview, or at least..reschedule..and maybe think about what you want to say b4 getting the screwjob. Everyone knows, at the end of the day, TV shows us what we want to see. Its a reason why you will never get an unbiased opinion reading the two big local papers in town as its owned by one guy The media GLORIFIES on the take down of groups and ppl like you. just like how you GLORIFY your "strip" races. Of course by now, the s2k douchebag is being hunted down and possibly already arrested. Heres an advice for freddy, hire a lawyer and be prepared to fight the conspiracy to street racing. CBC cannot be sued, what they choose not to air is all archived, and its not rightfully yours. You can of course, ask cbc to give u your full interview and show us what you said. Unless you signed it away, you can still get it back(i think..correct me) I think the moral of this whole thing is dont be a dick on the road, dont be stupid and post something up online and believe no one local will find it, becuz YOUTUBE is very good at telling it's users what they want to seeee, especially if its local. Its like facebook and friends you may know...I have found ppl from elementry school that I HAVE NOT talked to after leaving for highschool and graduating from that and post secondary, and then facebook tells me i might know them. its creepy, but it happened |
If ANY of you have ever lined up to a guy at a light, and had a go, Goodjob, you're a "Street Racer". Ripped it with one of your friends? Street Racer Tried to beat a guy to pass him? Street Racer Passed someone on the Right? Street Racer Passed someone on the Left Past speed Limit? Street Racer Tried to get somewhere remotely faster than Legal limit? Street Racer Difference is, they do it on empty streets AWAY from Civilization, and you did it between lights. If you thought that VTS or whatever was the only group that did stuff like this, you've been living under a rock. |

However, I have to agree with the consensus... Freddy, your statements may have been edited but you still CLEARLY said your group was involved in organized street racing. It was a big mistake and I certainly hope your little group of kids won't be the next poster boys for a new modified car crack down... Remember when Const. Jimmy Ng was killed and the media rallied behind the cause? Remember what it was like going into Richmond and being pulled over instantly? Oh I guess not, you prob didn't even have your licence then... Kids will always be kids... We all made/make young and stupid mistakes... but we need to be held accountable for them so we learn Edit: IF you guys know the guy in the silver s2000 you should email teresa.tang@cbc.ca (the reporter)with his info. I think it would be the most hilarious thing to see the media show up and talk to his parents. |
That freddy guy is the same guy that romped passed me on boundry/lougheed back in the summer with his flat black nissan. Was that seriously neccessary? Kinda glad that karma is finally catching up to him. I hope this opens up people's eyes and see what simple misjudgement can do not just to themselves but the entire community.:( |
"If we were going to street race" ...haha...oh man. Freddy, If you were around long enough, you would have learned from history: http://www.revscene.net/models/2001/images/DSC00001.JPG |
Hm. Some of the posts in this thread just scream hypocracy. |

At the end of the day with it all being said, Freddy made a BIG mistake for telling the reporter he street races. Police still hang out at Tim Hortons on byrne road : D News Media is a world of it's own and we will never win Racing can never be stoped because its cool and you know it : D Resisting Massey tunnel at 2-5am with VTEC+NO cars = Fail |
all in all, most people have sped or raced in their lives, im sure most of us here can think of a time we have done so, its common place in a car club, even when groundrules are set by sites such as this that there is zero tolerance. saw an r8 the other day, what did he do, gunned it off a light and did above the speed limit, but not sure how much over. ppl dont buy done up cars, exotics and never screw around in them. you buy a nice car, you put that much money into it, and dont tell me you never take it over 50km/h in the city. i've been to my fair shares of shows, and you see ppl, burning out, reving high, ripping it as they leave the show etc etc. if cops wanted to stop street racing.. why make cars that exceed our fastest speeds of 100km/h on the highway, why no chip that limits us, why an engine with that much power potential, why supporting mods to boost performance. and even with that.. i garuntee that many ppl take out that chip so they can surpass the limit. and i am pretty sure when people build aftermarket products for cars, they arent thinking for "offroad use only" although, yes they do state that, they know people will use it on the streets as well. in the end, its not preventable, they are able to crack down, yes, but you have to realize that it happens all around us, hell most of you know someone who rips it around. im not defending what was done in that video, nor saying im against it, im just saying if they wanted to stop racing for good, we wouldnt be as advanced in the car world as we are today. |
the difference was grahams attempt at the media story was that he was asked, by the reporter, to race the other person. Graham was very specific in his words, but still got screwed in the end. he did his best to showcase the lifestyle side, the story did take a bit of it, but the focus was still on mocked race that was asked to be performed. Freddy made the mistake of opening his mouth and giving the media so much ammo to work with, they were probably having a field day with how much good material they had to finish up the editting. Thats what ppl are complaining about. Yes the interview was editted, but when u say that much shit for them to work with, u might as well just sit there and let them rape u. Its one thing to piece the story in segments but there was clearly long sentences of information that did not need to be editted. Quote:

Maybe someone should show Freddy the Simpson's epidsode where Homer was accused of grabbing that college babysitter's "sweet sweet......" I wonder if they are going to show any updates about "Paul Walker" wannabe and his S2000. |
im sure many of us still do it on a dairly basis. i know i used to, and completely went out of control and my car was never the same after they fixed it up, i lost a car i put together with my own hands and hard working money, and i lost the support and respect from my club. never admit to crime.. admitting to street racing is like.. at the boarder crossing "sir do you have any firearm or any sharp objects i should be aware of?" and then you said: "yes sir, i have a deagle and some grenades and a katana" shot to hell. |
