The Presidents Daughter is the new Kim Bauer. She a stubborn dumb ass who gets other people in trouble or shot.

Ronin 03-03-2009 04:58 PM

Okay, seriously...it can't possibly be that easy to access the f'n White House.

jlo mein 03-03-2009 07:59 PM

Does the White House seriously sit over water? I also thought it was kind of dumb how all the secret service agents pulled back without proof that the president was alive. Other than that it was a rock solid, action packed 2 hour episode.

twitchyzero 03-03-2009 11:28 PM

wow the last 2 episodes was as good as the one's from 24's old glory days

confused tho, i thought the guy (dubaku's son) that walker followed was the same guy that killed dubaku. How come walker was telling him that his dad died, wasn't he the one that killed dubaku?? damn africans all look the same :p

different guy. remember that cell phone call the assassin made to the general telling him that he just knocked off dubaku? the general told the assassin that he must never tell the son what happened (or sth to that effect). watch it again on the http://www.globaltv.com website

yeah that part bothered me a lot. it also seemed like they had to be planning that attack for months...with just hours before hand they were still trying to convince the US not to invade.

Expresso 03-05-2009 09:32 AM

haah its a TV Show, a lot of things on 24 are coincidental!

Terrorists broke into CTU so I'm sure with enough planing Whitehouse isn't that far fetched. Seems like Jon Voight hooked them up good, and we still don't know who is yet!

Man i can't believe what happened today.

I think i'm losing the appeal for 24. I'm getting mixed receptions about this season..some episodes are great but some are just like..wha? again? This might be biased after reading some IMDB posts, but they've used the panic room twice and two leads were killed in the hospital..all in one season. that and the fact that there's been more than 3 main antagonist in the season makes it seem choppy. I was hoping for the remainder of the season jack could tie up some loose ends to his past problems (his daughter etc etc).

poor jack's family/friends are cursed...all dying one by one..

It's sad to say this but i think they should make the next season their last before the series gets butchered since you can pretty much sense the writer's are running outta ideas after 7 terrorists attacks.

From what I've read, there's one more season in the works, which will lead up to a full length feature film. As far as I know, that's likely going to be it for the show. To be honest, while I like the idea that you're essentially watching an entire day in the life of JB every season, there's just so much going on that it defies belief a little too much. At least by chopping it up into a full length feature, you can dispense with the assumptions that everything is happening "now" and can at least jump a couple hours ahead in the span of a fade-to-black transition.

this was one reason why i was sort of not as excited this season, it's the choppy and the multiple terroist that keeps on dying and then new ones coming up made it really hard for me to really follow.

the panic room was ok, the first time was some weak african's wife and the second time, we're talking about the president + someone dying which was ok. If air force one could have enough items and supplies for the president to run the country, i doubt the safe room at the white house is just a room with nothing to get help.

It was also quite obvious that it wasn't the police... because they knew the senator was in some sort of harm, so if it was the police/fbi/etc, they would just kick down the door and storm in.

Also, when JBau, threw that thing into the guy's chest, was it a screw driver or a knife? It was so dark I couldn't make out what it was. LOL :haha:

nns 03-17-2009 03:48 PM

It was a flat-head screwdriver if i'm not mistaken. He later took it out of the guy's chest and used it to start the truck he drove off in.

That was what I thought! But I asked my friend and he said it was a knife that the guy dropped.

Even though it was a construction site and the weapon being a flathead screwdriver would be plausible, it's sooo impossible to throw it through someone's chest LOL it looked like the guy was wearing a bulletproof vest too hahaha. Then again, Jack Bauer's crazy like that :haha:

twitchyzero 03-18-2009 10:23 AM

i dont think ive ever seen close combat scene in 24 before haha.
