Snow!!

Muhaha we've got snow up in courtenay meaning the mt will be opening soon (fingers crossed) got a few ideas for some new winter sports such as dragging friends behind the vehicle on a gt-racer. Anyone else got some sweet ideas for winter fun?

seems like usually whenever they predict snow as nearly a "sure thing" it doesnt snow at all, and whenever we get serious amounts they didn't didn't see it coming at all

It's hard to trust the weather networks. They always try and predict a week ahead, but really they usually can only predict a day at most.

Just drove from Duncan to Nanaimo. It was one lane most of the way. recorded the whole thing on my new samsung camera. The caterers who were at the party that I was DJing were from vic. The had to get a hotel because the Malahat is closed. Duncan is seeing a lot more snow than Nanaimo.

really? I just drove back from naniamo (I left at 10:30 and got home at 12:30) Worst snow I saw was just south of naniamo. And the hat was cleared of snow and heavily salted, so nothing was sticking on the road. Best chunk of road on the entire drive

I drove from Parksville to Victoria tonight, VERY happy with how the Jeep behaves in the snow, even with all seasons! The conditions out there were terrible, saw a number of people sliding around and some wrecks.

I left about 8pm and got to Vic around 11 I think.

Go slow, be safe!

Drove from down town last night to my place by save on foods on Blanshard and it was ugly driving. It reminded me why I need to buy something taller and with all wheel drive. It took me 30 mins cause everyone was driving so slow and sliding everywhere

Ahhh snow has claimed its first victim that I know personally. About 1:00am last night one of my buddys ended up, what looks to be passenger door-side down in a 6-8 foot deep ditch.

AWD and 4x4 dont mean shit if you drive like an asshole, so everyone be safe!!!

I'm happy my driveway is no longer a skating rink... it was a PITA trying to torque down the all seasons on Kaity's Civic.
