Who cares if you are doing that in D. It'd do that all day long at the press of a button, try that GTR. You need two hands on the wheel when you are doing that kind of sideways anyway.

if I'm willing to do that in "D", then I wouldn't be trying to get rid of my GTR right now. The point is, I care. Hence the reason for the thread.

Also, the steering on the C63 is very soft. Not engaging at all.

how about go buy a EVO 9 from US? 6 speed manual and 95% of GTR's fun without the boring gearbox. Or if you totally don't need to do long distance hauls do EVO X GSR with the 5 speed....

since the C63 doesn't sway you the ability of the car to go sideways is not a big concern to you anyway right?

That said did you give the ZR1 some thought? But then the company that made that god damned thing might go down before your GTR warranty on the transmission runs out....

SuperSlowSS 12-16-2008 08:54 PM

why can't you drive a 993 turbo or C2S all year around?

BrendanS 12-16-2008 08:55 PM

buy your 420TT back?:)

Berzerker 12-16-2008 08:56 PM

Shifting gears is just so SATISFYING!!! I agree with you I could never own an auto sports car....

Berz out.

DeTomaso Pantera, Acura NSX, Lotus Esprit, you know?

I'd recommened the DeTomaso Pantera ;)

they look very cool when modded nicely.

don't mean to be a buzz killer but this car has been in an accident. notice the repair (hammered) marks on the lower left side of the car? a crooked car is something you risk everytime you buy used.

I would love a ZR1. But MSRP is above $130K. Out of my price range.

I wouldn't dare use a "rolling work of art" as the 993TT on everyday driving...

And C2S is not easy to drive in the snow.

LanEvoMR 12-16-2008 09:20 PM

how about audi r8?

nvm, i forgot you don't like audi

alex.w *// 12-16-2008 09:23 PM

your best bet would probably be the evo x, athough the interior is nothing compared to the gtr

R8 is too much money for too little car. Complete poseur car.

LanEvoMR 12-16-2008 09:28 PM

i personally think 997 c4s would be the best option rite now......if you're looking for a "stimulating", manual trans car to drive....and if you want to drive it year round

your options are limited because you're kind of stuck in the price bracket between the "trying to be exotic" cars like m3 and rs4 and the true exotics like lambo ......seriously too bad lp560-4 is out of the question, that would be like the perfect car

maxx 12-16-2008 09:30 PM

M3 ;) any year. guaranteed to keep you happy anytime, anywhere.

I may look at an E46...E9x doesn't do anything for me. At all. Very boring car too imo.

just rent a car when it snows.

and why not get a slower car? GVA roads are so boring to drive with a fast car. My next car will be slow for sure.. haha

And people gave me shit for saying that the new GT-R wasn't a real drivers car. pfft.

Fuck you. Proof that the GT-R is an old mans car, and it's no fun.

Get a Z06. It's in the price range ;)

Harvey Specter 12-16-2008 10:12 PM

Save some cash and get yourself a C63 or M3. The C63 will surely put a smile on your face.

Berzerker 12-16-2008 10:15 PM

^^ did you read the rest of the posts?

He wants to be able to shift the damn car with a Clutch and stick!

Berz out.

One thing i don't like about the GT-R is that it's so quite, you should put this exhaust system on your next ride... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwWKG...e=channel_page , i'm serious... this thing is fuckkin sicckk.

Can somebody link me to the Real Drivers Criteria rules and stipulations? I have to verify if anything other than a MT car can't be considered a "real drivers car". What else is on that list? It has to be domestic? Has to have >300hp (299.9hp or less doesn't qualify as real drivers car)?

It probably has to be an elite type of car too, one that only a select few skilled drivers can be able to drive, because if it's easy and comfortable to drive, then it's not a real drivers car.

^^^ Hype. Everyone I've seen that has tested a GT-R says... Fast.. but boring. Made to do what it does.. and it does it well but its not fun because it does everything for you.

Berz out.

Harvey Specter 12-16-2008 10:45 PM

Doesn't the M3 have DCT?

Fact of the matter is, the R35 treads along the same path of the previous 3 R's which have been techno-gadgets to boot. The only differences would be drive-train layout (transmission in the rear, engine layout), rims, etc. Attessa, hicas, abs, and g-sensors are all inherited from the previous skylines. I just don't see much of this "the car does everything" talk with regards to the previous 3 skylines as much as the R35. I guess the clutch pedal makes all the difference
