I've driven the R32, R33, and R34. Those are driver's cars. Fact is, R35 really has a lot more driver's aid than the previous generations.

If you count attessa as a driver aid, then the previous 3 have that as well. what's incredibly different on the r35 than the previous 3 r's? they all have similar attributes, yet the r35 seems to be unimaginably different.

btw yes all GTR's have attessa AWD. Is that the ONLY driver's aid? VDC on the R35 is another driver's aid. Transmission is a BIG driver's aid. And that's the part that I can't live with. Is that so hard to understand?

FD3S RX7 with a lot of balls already modded into it...

I can see similar level of convenience of a R35 (easier to park too) and it takes a real man to handle one of those at 400+ bhp. :P

sorry really out of ideas now...

I thought of that already. I love the RX7's styling. But with their overheating problems, and the fact that I'm just not educated or familiar with the Rotary engine.

See? It's not easy is it? lol... This just shows that the R35 is really a great car for the money. Just that I rather have a manual transmission...

I've been driving E46 M3 for almost 5 yrs. I am very happy with it. By putting a set of snow tires, it got me through icy roads perfectly fine at around 40km/h. Of course, there was still some skidding. :D

I wouldn't go to North Vancouver though

It's very versatile with fold down backseats. It's powerful enough. It's got everything you need: heated seats for this darn cold weather, bi-xenon lights, nice harmon kardon system(I upgraded to Alpine Type R though), nice looking OEM 19s.

It's a nice agressive looking car, and it's one of the nicest BMWs ever made Do I need to say more? :)

check out the local forums. a supercharged e36 m3 with water/meth injection will be putting around 400 hp to the wheels, laugh at 911s off the lights, comfortable, looks great and a handling goddess - that's my plan. its an epic car to own too.

take a look at vancouvereuros or euroforums, a few peeps have done that. some shy away from the heavy, fat tech-savy new bimmers and go old school, lightweight forced induction for about $30,000 - that's all done up with the best parts. you can save 5gs on wheels, so make it 25.
give it a thought.

Wykydtron 12-17-2008 05:34 AM

I would say a 6MT M5.

Good_KarMa 12-17-2008 06:47 AM

Just get your jollies off of the ducati.

yes, its optional and DCT is boring even compare to SMG.

everyone praises how fast and smooth a DSG is better then SMG. But the SMG is just far more fun, it actually feels like driving a car with sequential gear box and rather then an automatic w/ tiptronic.

but then, the DCT M3 is a lot quicker then 6MT.

KO7 12-17-2008 11:29 AM

I know you don't need the practicality, but I would test-drive the Audi RS4 if I were in your shoes.

.Renn.Sport 12-17-2008 11:30 AM

you can always get a G37, then swap in the VR38DETT mod it to 1000HP, full attesa AWD, relocate the 6MT to the back. i'm pretty sure you can afford to mod a car like this.

Exact reason for wanting a thorough test drive :)

I dunno about the OP, but I can tell whether a car is boring to drive in a few hours... which if you're wasting that much on a new car, you better take your time on the test drive!!!

marc0lishuz 12-17-2008 04:49 PM

Audi R8
