low cars are just as easy to drive in the snow as any other... i was driving around with my lip on for a while... then took it off this afternoon, still plowing without it... passing 4wd cars, no probs... its all about proper tires, momentum, and keeping braking distance... 20km/h is retarded. oh, and my car is rwd.

My car is easy to drive and I'm snow tire equipped. But my problem is no ground clearance makes for bad noises when you're scraping the snow or you drive over those ice chunks. Also not a fan of the rough ride when driving over hard packed and icy roads.

From now on my car stays parked!

Both my old Jetta GTX and GTI were far too low. Certainly made for some, er... intense situations when I came across a snow drift higher than an inch.

The snow is already above the end of the front lip spoiler in this picture.

absolutely terrible experience, good thing i didn't hit anyone, but the small streets to get into my complex, the snow was piled up past my sideskirts and i had only so much momentum to break through that lol.

good thing a passerby helped me out!

i took my lip off last night and the rest of the car is still too low. i get beached with all the snow under the car and i don't have spanner wrenches for my coilovers. got stuck 2 times on the way to work and i got stuck really good on my way home. and those whale ass ice balls.. oh god, i smoked so many today, looks like i'll be replacing suspension shit in the spring. definitely bent my left front rim too. for anyone driving around richmond, watch out at williams and shell road by the train tracks, those ice balls are dominant.

a 4x4 is so tempting right now..
