:haha:

or the guys that do standing curls and swing so hard you think they are going to pull something

and the guys that do bench while going down 3 inches and back up

wyattH 01-15-2009 11:30 PM

hell yes. so frustrating. if you are willing to learn and put the time in, great, welcome aboard.
if you go in there as a noob and show other members little respect (not sharing machines, walking by each other in a rude way like you're the shit, not listening to tips, etc).. then yes, f* off.

lol, made a resolution to get big as well.

but im doing this all at home.

already have a bench press, multi workout machine, and walking machine.

cant believe i have these things for years, and im starting now

Lol, I dropped 60lbs (220lbs now 160ish) in 2 years by working out at home on my treadmill. It's really not that hard to drop weight if you get yourself into a good routine and have a very clean diet.

RRxtar 01-19-2009 09:44 PM

today was the first time i really noticed the resolution trainers.

i goto the gym 8:30pm-10pm at night 4 nights a week for the last 2 years. the gym closes at 10pm. consistantly, by 9:00 theres just the usual 10 people in there and by 9:30 its down to 2 or 3. today at 9pm there must have been 50 people and at 9:45 there was still been 30 people in the gym.

i cant imagine what peak time would have been like.

So, me and my wife just bought 1yr memberships at our nearest community centre...so no more watermania for me.

I went there for the first time today......no fatties there.....just lots and lots and lots of hot asian girls trying to improve their already fine asses.

Derek_N84 01-20-2009 01:23 AM

some relatively chubby dude kept looking at my treadmill display as he kept running the other day. everytime i sped up he would match me, turned out to be a bad choice as he got thrown off the tread and ate shit hardcore by the 5th minute in going 8.5 :lol

That's really good, congrats.

Damn considered on going to the gym but been lazy!
Just been doing some light exercises at home and cutting down on my carb intake (ie no rice after 5pm etc.) So dropped from 182lbs to 175lbs.

170 is the goal..another 5 to go. woot woot

Its funny, my goal last year was to gain weight (I always hovered around the 160-165lb range) and now its the opposite.

maxxxboost 01-22-2009 01:29 AM

I haven't noticed any unusual people at the gym. The ones at the gym were more in shape than me. LOL

I notice 3X more girls. But that coming from a gym that had like 0 to start with :D

RayBot 01-22-2009 12:25 PM

Well.....3 x 0 is still ZERO!

Nah, i bash people who set the bar impossibly high and have no hope of changing their lifestyle and maintaining it.

Sure they have every right to be there, but it's a slow an agonizing process for everyone else there.

meepmeepdeath 01-29-2009 08:24 PM

i go to sfu's gym and i notice a trend, it gets packed usually beginning of the semester and it slowly dies after 2 weeks. dont worry people give up easily just give it time

Harvey Specter 01-29-2009 11:49 PM

That is a big drop, nice job.

RRxtar 01-30-2009 06:52 AM

congrats on the hard work majin! and props for the confidence in posting pictures too!
