FUCK Chinese New Year just ended, and my gym was packed.. I guess people do resolutions here too!

!SG 02-02-2009 10:32 AM

go late at night, after 10pm, u see less ppl, more regulars, and u can catch the channel 9 news for a good hour while ur on the cardio, 11:00 for canada world wide, 11:30 for local news. then the rest of the time either listen to what they are broadcasting or ur own ipod.

leave the cell on vibrate and in the locker. that late at night, less chance of missing any important calls.

Berzerker 02-02-2009 07:21 PM

^^ Its bad to work out to late at night. It affects your sleep. Your also supposed to eat about an hour before lifting and then again after lifting and that is also bad to do late at night :P

Berz out.

SkinnyPupp 02-02-2009 09:10 PM

Yeah, working out late is bad. If you had a good workout, you will have problems sleeping, because your heart will still be going, and you will still be in 'burn calories' mode.

Besides, my gym closes at 10pm anyway...

Meowjin 02-02-2009 09:12 PM

fucking shit, I weighed my self today 235 FUCK.

I started to diet like crazy and work out like mad starting 2 weeks ago, if you don't know i had a car accident last year and couldn't work out because of the excruciating pain in my neck and back.

My dreams of having a 6 pack in vietnam are nill but I can still drop at least 25 pounds and look good on the beaches

Meowjin 02-02-2009 09:13 PM

Maybe I should post a daily diet/workout log, and track progress here with pictures. See how much weight I can lose in 50 days.

RayBot 02-02-2009 09:23 PM

Hey Majin..

Im on the losing weight block as well. I was 238 during new years, and 232 now...

Shall we put it to the test?

Probably because the work is starting to pile up?

When I went to bonsor, I couldn't stand the girls who came specifically to WALK on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

Seriously? Are you serious? Come on now.

!SG 02-03-2009 10:17 AM

i know some say its bad to work out at night, but if anything, it helps me sleep better at night cuz im so freakin tired!

im suppose to have a snack before bed anyways. im diabetic. sucks to wake up all anxious, and shaky just cuz u got low blood sugar.

RRxtar 02-04-2009 09:55 AM

yea..pretty sure thats not 'great' for your body, but hey, to each their own. its better for your body to work out in the morning though.

I go easy on my back and and legs day, I avoid squats for now, but do natural leg excersizes (suicides, burpies, goblet squats)

RayBot 02-11-2009 10:49 AM

Im happy i didn't become the same statistic as the 'two week new years resolution' mob....but still the fattie coming to the gym as much as i can, you know....because of such a busy real estate working schedule

Heres a brief progress log recorded on my calender:
Back from hong kong (November 17): 244 lbs.
New Years Day: 241 lbs.
January 24: purchased gym membership
Feb 1: 234 lbs
Feb 9: 230 lbs
Feb 11: 227 lbs.

I used my wife's Wii Fit, and it congratulated me!!

projectcivic 02-12-2009 08:32 AM

I go to the gym at 530am 6 days a week and I noticed right after new years there was a good amount of new comers but by the end of January they were all gone. It didn't bug me much since its a big gym and at 530am there isn't a ton of people anyways so.... But I was at the gym on a Friday night at the beginning of January and it was the busiest I have ever seen it. Every single piece of equipment was being used, a ton of new comers, and the new comers are always easy to spot, they either have all the matching gear (shoes, shorts, top), or they show up in groups and jsut seem lost, or they spend 5 mins at a time on 3 or 4 different pieces of cardio equipment and never touch weights just cardio and maybe some cable machines. Or a combination of all those things.
Either way I could care less, in fact I kind of enjoy it. Its worth a laugh sometimes but overall they mostly are trying to do the same thing I was trying to do a couple of years ago. I lost over 70lbs in just over a year, so who am I to mock them for trying. I only wish they would actually stick around for longer then 3 weeks. We all start someone.

f00tzilla 02-12-2009 03:16 PM

shit you go at 5:30am that's intense.. i like working out in the morning too but for me its more like 8am

maxxxboost 12-31-2009 04:23 PM

Bump.
Who kept up with with their 2009 work out resolution?
Who is going to make a 2010 work out resolution?

RayBot 12-31-2009 05:18 PM
