BC Casino laws? can you be kicked out for winning too much?

can anyone with more knowledge shed some light on this subject? say IN THEORY a stats genius brought his strategy into a roulette table and constantly cashed out in the thousands on a regular basis. All 100% legit, nothing more than pen paper and himself. Do the casinos have a right to kick this guy out and ban him?

Psykopathik 01-02-2009 11:09 PM

yup

any casino has the right to refuse service to anyone. like any buisness

int36ra 01-02-2009 11:09 PM

I believe they have the right to refuse service like any private business?

nismosx 01-02-2009 11:09 PM

like any other business its private property they dont have to serve you

orange7 01-03-2009 12:16 AM

1. Yup, a casino can refuse service.
2. A "stats genius" would never set foot inside a casino, except perhaps for the poker tables.

not sure about losing, but i know they can ban you for going too much

Shizuma 01-03-2009 12:24 AM

Counting cards is legit. Theres not even a " pen and paper" yet they can still ban you.

Raid3n 01-03-2009 01:06 AM

they will ban you for anything that tips odds away from the house and towards you.

Psykopathik 01-03-2009 01:29 AM

^^ i dunno they probably could...but then why? do you think they care if you're throwing money at them?

Gh0stRider 01-03-2009 01:30 AM

No doubt, kicking out free money would be a terrible idea.

I think you can request yourself to be banned.

i can't even stay at a casino for more than 2 hours without losing $600 minimum. lol

Gh0stRider 01-03-2009 11:56 AM

yes, you can ban yourself for 6 months, 1 year or 3 years.

I see customers walking to and from the atm machine all night. I don't know how people can throw their money away like that.

A stats genius would play craps. It's the closests to 50/50 odds as you'll find in a casino.

iPee 01-03-2009 12:40 PM

did you watch that on discovery or something

where this stats guy
took down which numbers the ball landed on
then he ran a test and it showed which numbers showed up the most and he would play those numbers all night

Drift_Monkey 01-03-2009 01:28 PM

well in the past i played black jack with 3 other guys at river rock. i played 2 hands and the other 2 guys played 2 or 3 hands. it was like 4 am when it wasn't busy

i was winning about 400 and the other 2 were winning like 2000 each.

the cards were totally in favor of us and we played long enough that we start to see a pattern from the cards that were dealt from the machine.

every 10 hands i would get a pair of aces and i would split but i would always get Ace 9 and Ace 8. it was weired cuz it seems like the card was repeating itself after so many hands.

the manager was called up and told us to move table as they have to close it without any good reason.

so if they see that you table is doing better than the house is, then would close it.

NO.

they wont kick u out for losing too much but if your family doesn't want you to gamble i believe your family can ask the casino to blacklist you, but i think you gotta do this voluntarily as well cause you gotta take some mug shots. then every time they see you step foot in the casino they'll kick you out.

3seriesBeeM 01-03-2009 03:35 PM

i can't think of anything entertainment-wise that's more expensive then gambling.
