i found it a pretty good remake from the first karate kid. there were some parts that was taken, such as lines, ideas, concepts. As a kid who took a martial art at childhood, i was really impressed by the character development and emotions taken from this story. the action scenes i thought was pretty cheezy near the end but during the middle it got really intense imo!

id' rate it a solid 8.5/10.

It was an okay movie... if i didnt compare it to the Old KK (which is kind of hard since they're like using direct quotes in the dialogue) i would give it a 6/10

but having to do the obvious and compare it to the original.... 5/10

Spoiler!

thought it was pretty funny when the bullies spoke english, couldn't take them seriously cause of their high pitched voice...

i fully expected this to be a shitty movie and was genuinly surprised that it wasn't. yeah there were some cheesy parts, but it IS what it was made to be: a feel good movie. people were cheering and clapping throughout the movie, that doesn't happen too often.

i liked it! 8/10

I don't recall any kick he was being trained to do throughout the whole movie...
That last kick was all real, done by Jaden, according to the commentary.

I dunno.. I enjoyed the movie. It didn't seem long at all.
I was actually surprised to find that it was over 2 hours long.

It was a good movie. I must say I was entertained. I always enjoy watching Jackie Chan's movie. I would give it a 8/10.
