During training period anyone can be let go for any reason. Even though she never started training I'm sure this would fall under that. Tough economic times, probably not as busy as they have been so no need for new staff. It's happening everywhere just tell her to try and find another job.

Not much you can do about it. The probation period hasn't even started for her yet. I do find it kind of odd that it took so long after she was hired to start training.

they have too many dealers right now
everyone was getting full time, then they hired more dealers last month, now all the new dealers are only getting 3~2shift per week(24h~16h) for who knows how long. dealers who's been working there for years are getting their hours cut too.
If you go to 2nd floor, it's always empty and they dont even open all the tables, and they go hire more dealers? WTF....

There is one thing I would do though and that is make them come pickup there own Uniform if they want it back. It's not like they are going to hold back her last cheque if she doesn't return it.
