I also found that some of the intensivists (doctors working intensive care units, ER are not on here they probably bill the hospital directly).

From quick scanning of the salary :eek: some doctors get up to 1.5million! I realize some doctors specialize in their field but, why is there such a large gap between a lot of the doctors salary?

Specialists. I know one of the doctors on there making 1.1 million. He is however claimed to be the best neurosurgeon in the lower mainland. *shrug*

At the same time some of the doctors there are just establishing their practice.

It seems like a lot but don't forget they have to pay the overhead for there office. That includes receptionists, leasing a space in a building, furnishing it, misc supplies ect. It's not like they are sticking all that money in their pocket, far from it.
