Don't get Johny's hopes up. The major automakers have stated their position on flying cars:

they should start the fire on BOTH ends of the bridge simultaneously. Then no way they are gonna rebuild that pos.

My buddy and I once talked about how messed up a whole city can get if all bridges were taken down at the same time. Surrey bridges, lions gate, second narrows, etc.

Can you imagine? We would have to quit jobs, rely on ferries, etc. Could cause a mini recession vancouver bound if that were to happen

traffic would be 10x better then what it is now. and a bridge going down would cause min. effect.

100,000 sperm and you were the fastest ....wow

holy shit!

most intelligent post ever in history of internet!

It was some homeless people living under the bridge, apparently....

http://watch.ctv.ca/news/latest/brid...ed/#clip130920

Figures... break into an area you're not supposed to be in... then light a fire, burn down the bridge that 80,000 vehicles use every day... nah, we don't need to do anything about the homeless problem in Metro Vancouver, it's fine... they just FUCKING RUIN EVERYTHING AROUND US INSTEAD!!!

Fucking pieces of lowlife shit-for-brains.

I use that bridge every day... thankfully, against traffic... so getting to work might not be too bad over the Port Mann at 6am... but getting home to Burnaby at 3pm is going to be a fucking nightmare!!

The politicians in this province are so fucked in the head, it's not funny.

BTW johny, the Patullo is way too small for big trucks... they should be using other bridges, not it. Ever since the Highways dept shut down the scale at the south end, it's been a truck free-for-all. Another dumb idea by the transportation minister....

I lost a good friend and co-worker thanks to the Patullo... his wife got hit by a car that crossed the median, head on... instantly killed. He then took his own life because he couldn't take it anymore...

was it the part that she said, "homeless are known to live under the bridge, so police have begun their questioning with them" ?? I dont think that means. it was homeless. head out of ass much?

thats one way of going about it. strip people of their freedoms and rights. i think it would be easier if you just bombed one side of the river and killed everyone.

alex.w *// 01-18-2009 10:07 PM

well at least all the ppl watching the news and this forum will have a alternate route planned.

what if ppl went to the pattulo and find out its closed. probably going to take 30min-1hr to head over to another bridge

Also, if that were the case, Vancouver would be nothing but high rises 0f 40 plus floors. We live in an area that is surrounded by rivers.

watch games on TV or live in Vancouver. go to the movies in your own city. take ferries Fri - sun. or leave before / after commuting hours.

no. companies / businesses need to move out of Vancouver to where the people live.

no thanks, most people can't even drive on the ground worth sh*t. I'd hate to seem them in the air.

sounds like your company should be moved to surrey. it would likely save the company money, and save a majority of the workers time. it's win win.

great start with vancouver. it's a lost cause. don't know why companys are still there when nobody can afford to live there. maybe the billions of vancouver debt would be wipped out with the bomb too.

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY...
Really how hard is it to get a bridge built? OH WAIT WE LIVE IN VANCOUVER! It takes forever for something to get built or repaired around here.

the bums probably got a couple of happy planet drinks in exchange for setting the fire for him.

you probably wouldn't be such a hater if you had an 8 min commute to work, and saw about 4 cars on the way total.... the joys of working and living in the same city. it makes you a nicer person.

RFlush 01-18-2009 11:05 PM

I actually agree with Johny. The Vancouver Canucks should have an arena in each city. They should move to the customers instead of the customers moving to them. They would then play each game in a different city rotating to every city in the GVRD. If someone in lets say Mission wants to watch the game live, s/he would not be allowed to drive to Vancouver. Imagine all the traffic congestion that would create. Instead, the Canucks would go to them.

I support your idea Johny!
