shaq got the better team imo lots of quick guards to penetrate + blake griffin |
scrappy ending to the blazers/clippers game. not too sure how i feel about cp3's performance tonight, but solid contribution when it counted. |
JR Smith will sign with the Knicks, could play as early as Sunday. |
Do you guys think David Stern is not allowing NBA back to Vancouver because of BC BUD? |

JR Smith to the Knicks was huge, would've liked to see him with the Clippers who need a starting 2 guard badly. Wonder how Fields and Smith will split minutes. Bulls without Rose beating the Celtics was impressive. East Heat and the Bulls are clearly the top 2 with the Knicks, 76ers, Pacers, Celtics all bunched together. |

what's there to feel? he had a rough night but came through when the team needed him most, all (13 i think) of his points coming in the final quarter, this is the mark of a true superstar.. but you bring up an interesting point now that I think about it, how many superstars are there that can dig themselves out of a bad game by the end and basically win it for the team, on a CONSISTENT basis really ? I'm thinking/knowing Kobe would continue tossing up bricks, LeBron would just disappear and pass around looking confused, Wade would continue to force the issue by trying to create things that aren't there, Durant would continue to pull up on bad jumpers.....etc.... I honestly can't remember the last time I seen any of these superstar guys have 0 points and almost no effect on the game for the first 3 quarters, and then come into the fourth to win it, and that's coming back from a large point deficit too! Now that goes with that bullshit NBA theory where you win by your star and lose by your star, I DO NOT buy that bullshit at all, America is so enamored with the "superstar" of the team that to see Melo or Kobe toss up 20 shots and miss 19 in the fourth and lose the game, to them it's acceptable and that's "how it's supposed to be" I think it's absolute bullshit, and you gotta go with what works... I live by that as just last week in a league semi final game, I dropped 40+ points, couldn't miss a shot and when the other team caught up in the last 5 mins of the game I began to panic and force up shots, missed 6 or 7 straight, so with 2 mins left in the game and score tied as fierce a competitor as I am, I subbed myself out because I was hurting the team, my buddy came in calmed the team down and we eeked out a win with me on the bench cheering them on... I got no problems with winning whatsoever :fuckyea: |

hoping seattle gets a ball team! seattle had a solid fan base iirc! |
ballguy, I wouldn't go as far to say NBA isn't "real" ball, but I definitely hear what you're saying. I always looked at it in the sense of NBA having a bit too much focus on the individual superstar bullshit, while the NCAA and Euro leagues go overboard with the team concept. If these two met somewhere in the middle, that would probably be the perfect game right there. Probably the perfect and only example of this mixture would be Coach K's olympic men's teams, I absolutely LOVE watching those games because K does such a great job at bringing the college mentality to the NBA pro's while letting them have just enough of their individuality... I honestly can't wait for the Olympics in London, gonna be sick! diu yea I hear ya bro, Portland always plays tough at home even though this is their 4th or 5th straight loss there now (LA's out with ankle) ..... but ya those full blown beast days for Paul are over, he's not the 175 pounder with a 38 inch vertical coming out of Wake Forest anymore... he's just consistently consistent now, once in a while you get a glimpse of the younger him, that 33 point game against the Lakers last years playoffs for example, but yea man, lol, I do fcking miss seeing this guy |
cp was a fucking beast at wake forest. too bad his teammate justin gray disappeared off the face of the earth, dude was pauls partner in crime |
was watching suns/lakers highlights...is it just me or (43-45 sec mark) the guy was trying to say he drives for the bucket but he said fuk it??? lol |
^ haha, ya that's pretty close... if you watch enough games you'll occasionally hear players swearing, right underneath the hoop area cuz they got that microphone there... usually once or twice I week I hear it, just the other night actually me and my girl were watching the Clips Blazers game and everyone's lined up for free throws, then all of the sudden you hear someone say clearly "Thaaaat's fucking garbage" turns out it was Blake who was the first guy lined up under the hoop, he wasn't happy with the call and they actually called a technical foul on him for that too, lol two teams I know for sure I will always hear swearing is Celtics (Garnett) and Thunder (Perkins) those two jackasses really belong together |
NY Knicks win against the Dallas Macericks! Wow! Jeremy Lin with 28pts, 14 assists, and 5 steals Posted via RS Mobile http://img593.imageshack.us/i/imageyog.jpg |
