from my perspective, redick had his position set before the ball was caught. Same with allen ( hard to see though). In your video G, you caught the ball then hopped.

Trying get your feet set the moment before the ball come to you. OR when you need that little hop to get to your shooting position, i'd take a small dribble

I had that problem too :p I think i still do it but its less noticeable? i usually just dribble to get my shooting position ready + my hands are quite small for some balls so that doesnt help

since were on the topic of pick up games, do you guys play with unlimited/limited fouls? like after a certain amount you guys have to sit out (assuming you have enough player)
