they played back to back, of course they gonna be tired

i thot minny had that one, but rubio LOL choke

Sir_Loin 02-11-2012 06:43 PM

Scrappy win by the Knicks vs the Wolves, Iman Shumpert, Fields and Novak stepped up to help Lin out even with the rough shooting night Lin found other ways to contribute 8 assists, 6 boards and 3 steals. Lin looks tired no lift in his legs, I don't blame him the past week must not have only been physically draining but mental as well.

That was NOT download material.

I got 24 points for posting the same link. Quit the pointless argument.

Like everyone has mentioned. Lin didn't have the pep in his step. His second half was terrible.
But, even super stars have games like this. Kobe doesn't have a great game every game.

Now i'm not comparing Lin to Kobe at all. I'm just saying life has it's ups and downs. But, hopefully Lin, on average will be rise above!
I'm really rooting for the guy. I can't wait until their game against Toronto.

Sir_Loin 02-11-2012 11:34 PM

I don't get all the analysts saying that Lin plays like Nash, they both play(ed) under D'antoni's system. Nash is a tremendos shooter not soo much of a driver and finisher near the rim like Lin is. Nash has never been a defensive player, whereas Lin has the tools to be a decent one. Lin reminds me more of Tony Parker before he got a jumpshot. Teams are going to start forcing him to go left and going under the screens to make Lin beat them from the outside, rather than causing havoc in the paint.

very true. there is no comparison between lin and someone like kobe. people (mostly bandwagoners) have got to stop praising the kid like he's a magic johnson reincarnate. yes his underdog story is inspiring and he does deserve the love after being shafted so much and yes he has a very very bright future in the nba. But c'mon, as kobe said "let's not get ahead of ourselves"

knicks edge the bucks in 8th seed for the east! hopefully the heat win tomorrow. looks like the knicks have a tougher road to the playoffs from here.

RacingMetro92 02-11-2012 11:40 PM

Lin has done pretty well against upper echelon guards (give or take Fisher, Rubio is doing well in his first year). It really is too soon to tell if he can keep this up, but these numbers are somewhat hollow because (maybe even in spite of) the loss of Melo and Amare. His production could stay the same if they share the ball though

PUPPY 02-12-2012 01:51 AM

lin will be a solid 15/8 player when melo and amare come back, no doubt about that
there's a couple hard games in the near future though.
wade, parker, kidd, rondo, and rose are all waiting for him in around 2 weeks.

Keeps the dribble alive like nash. I like the comparison because Lin plays so well with the pick and roll just like how nash used to do with Amare.

Love his court vision - I think thats his biggest asset :p

FatalCloud 02-12-2012 08:51 AM

^yeah that and plus lin is not that fast like tony parker. like steve nash, he's just very deceptive with his dribble.

NLY 02-12-2012 09:13 AM

Lin's first step is deadly, once he gets into triple threat and sweeps its hard to stay infront of him.

TRDood 02-12-2012 11:05 AM

Don't really how people can compare Lin to all-star PG like Nash. Last night, in the last 4 minutes, he was blocked when trying to drive into the lane too hard. And in his last play, I thought Rubio got all ball. The free throws bailed him out.

NLY 02-12-2012 11:21 AM

It's all about his demeanor and mentality to penetrate regardless of who's in the paint. I would rather have a point guard that penetrates, which increases the chances of either getting fouled or finding an open team mate (rose,Westbrook, paul -like) versus than a point guard that stays on the perimeter and chucks up threes (Calderon :heckno:)

dlo 02-12-2012 11:40 AM

lol calderon had a big game today... 28 points

bryant with the fucking fade away winner again, holy shit that was a beauty...

Not really racist! 02-12-2012 11:42 AM

raptors man..raptors...

Nlkko 02-12-2012 11:45 AM

Every PGs have a big game against the Lakers, what else is new. Somebody tell Mike Brown using washed up triangle guards to run conventional sets isn't gonna cut it.

Steve Blake :lawl: What a piece of junk.

wuuhoo 02-12-2012 12:35 PM

whens trade deadline?

I hope LA makes a fucking move

Not sure what you are talking about...Rubio was nowhere near the play...and Ridnour clearly fouled him on the body....

Also, when people compare up-and-coming players to all-stars, they aren't saying they are as good as them but rather that they have a similar style of play. There's nothing to "not like" about that...

Deadline is on March 15th; I would assume the Lakers make a move for Ramon Sessions.

Vale46Rossi 02-12-2012 04:09 PM

Rondo had a sick game today....

Settle for Cleveland junk, why am I not surprised. *insert Jim Buss joke* That move would make absolutely no sense at all. Ramon is a big, slow guard--slow is an understatement, he has to guard 2s--who is a terrible defenders (terrible is also an understatement). Oh, and he has no outside game, his career 3s is 25%. 25. Somebody explains to Mike Brown that he already has Goudelock and Fish who can shoot 3s and at least play defense.

I'm now convinced Brown the Clown needs to be fired. Bring back Brian Shaw and run the triangle for fuck sakes.

No I wasn't referring to this play. I think it's the one before that.

Speaking of the Raptors vs. Lakers game this morning. The ref basically determined the outcome of the game. It was a close call but I think the winner shouldn't be decided by a 5 second violation call. Can't the refs review the tape? Would have been interesting to see Kobe gaurd Cauldron after the inbounds pass (that's if the Raptors can get it to him).
