And that’s good, because they are very excitable. But when we talk about playing our basketball and improving everyday, we have to think simple. Sometimes it’s challenging to coach simple with our guys but it’s important to focus on that.”

Oh man, I'm so torn about who to cheer for, OKC or the Lakers. :considered:

On the one hand, my heart wants to cheer the Lakers win a championship so that Kobe gets his sixth ring, and tie Jordan's record. One of the few contemporary superstars who's paid his dues and you can argue who is comparable to MJ. Michael Jordan is my favorite player by the way.

However, OKC is a team that plays an exciting brand of basketball on both ends of the floor. A good big three in KD, Westbrook, and Harden. Good defensive players in Perkins and Ibaka.

I am gonna cheer for the Lakers, by a very small margin, over OKC.

If OKC goes to the Finals, I won't be surprised though. I just think that OKC is better coached than the Lakers, and plays a good team game to defeat any team right now.

We might witness a changing of the guard in the NBA finals this year. This might be OKC's year.

That being said, the Lakers have the experience to win games in the playoffs and also a strong defensive presence with Bynum leading the way.

Who's more clutch in the playoffs? KD or Kobe? If it came down to the last shot between these two teams in the playoffs, I would give the edge to Mamba to help his team go to the Finals.

-just hoping that Mr. World Peace doesn't lose his marbles again and do something crazy vs. OKC. Be careful of this guy, Harden.

They mad. Oh they mad.

ATL-BOS great game; going into OT.

Nlkko 05-04-2012 06:49 PM

Chicago lost.:)

pastarocket 05-04-2012 07:01 PM

Rondo sure made his presence felt in the game. I noticed him using pump fake moves more often down the stretch of the game, especially during the overtime where he faked the layup, before Garnett followed up with the dunk in OT.

-triple double for Rondo.

Caron Butler (broken hand) will start for the Clippers in Game 3 on Saturday.
He didn't earn the nickname "Tuff Juice" for no reason. A doctor told Caron that his timetable for recovery would stay the same even if he aggravates the injury, so he'll wear a brace on his non-shooting hand and see what happens.

Mike Woodson wants Carmelo Anthony to lose weight and improve his overall game before reporting for training camp next year.
The Knicks' offseason hasn't even begun (a loss on Sunday would do the trick) and this probably won't sit well with Melo, but Woodson has a point -- Carmelo's career postseason record of 16-36 is the worst winning percentage of any player with at least 50 playoff games.

Noah (sprained ankle) is not expected to play in Game 4, and he is doubtful to return during the first round.
Noah has been cleared of any breaks or fractures, but his sprain was of the 'severe' variety. He left Saturday's film session on crutches and didn't speak to the media, so expect the Bulls to lean on Omer Asik and Taj Gibson in his absence.

I think you mean the Grizzlies/Clippers game....Magic/Pacers played earlier on a different channel; and yes, TSN2HD isn't working for some reason.

Nlkko 05-05-2012 03:29 PM

Isn't Tony Allen supposed to be on Chris Paul? Best perimeter defender in the game. Is Lionel Hollins stupid or something?

invader 05-05-2012 03:30 PM

I haven't seen Allen all game

Nlkko 05-05-2012 03:38 PM

Nothing like being out-coached by Vinny Del Negro.

Edit 1: Fucking Rudy Gay is hitting everything.

Edit 2: Mike Conley dribbled around like an idiot.

HonestTea 05-05-2012 03:44 PM

That was one of the dumbest plays I've seen LOL you're down by 1, why the fuck would you go for the 3..

pastarocket 05-05-2012 03:45 PM

Clippers win 87-86! Thank goodness that those missed free throws in the last twenty five seconds didn't cost them the game. When Bledsoe missed those two FT's, I was thinking "Uh oh, Rudy Gay is gonna for the three."

Good game by CP3. Paul showed leadership, good play on offense and defense, and hustle to the loose balls. One of the smartest PG's in the NBA. -loved his bounce pass to Griffin for the dunk late in the fourth quarter.

Clippers played good interior defence too.

Was it just the fact that Clippers played good defence in the post or just the wrong plays called by the Grizzlies coach to prevent a comeback?

The ESPN analyst Jon Barry kept saying "pass the ball to Gasol, let him do his work on Griffin." Blake played with five fouls. He wouldn't be aggressive in guarding Gasol. I didn't see any plays called for Gasol to get the ball in the post to go for the higher percentage play in the last minute. Your thoughts on this?

Because down 1 with 9 seconds on the clock, you give the ball to Mike Conley so that he could dribble around for 8 seconds.

Clippers didn't win this. Memphis just lost it themselves.

A$AProcky 05-05-2012 04:01 PM

Did the Grizzlies use up there last time out before Bledsoes FT's? If so that was stupid.

I dont have any problem with them passing it to Gay for the three he just made two, they just sucked the whole fourth quarter.

Nlkko 05-05-2012 04:27 PM

They didn't pass him the ball. They went with Mike Conley. The fool got no where to go, dribbled out the clock and dumped the ball to Gay. If the Griz lose this series, they need to sack Lionel Hollins.

G-spec 05-05-2012 04:30 PM

yea Grizz had no timeouts left but got lucky with a quick 20 with the automatic time out when Mayo fouled out...
Clips played pretty shitty overall, nobody really had a strong game except CP3, it's the playoffs faggots get in the groove...luckily the Grizz forgot to show up themselves... the only thing that gave this game a playoff atmosphere was the fact that it was so close the whole time

and fcking clutch ass Rudy, I honestly thought he was gonna hit the winner, seen him do it TOO many times in the past to doubt him... I absolutely love his jumper, he's got the smoothest looking form of any player I've ever seen, been trying to mold my shot after his for years now

lol, 1 of my fav youtube vids
