Miami seems to slowly be pulling away...

pastarocket 04-30-2012 05:55 PM

-heard Charles Barkley give post game comments that the Heat and Knicks series will be "quick and painless" in terms of a Heat victory in the first round.

We'll see about that. The Knicks will be desperate for a win on Thursday night. -can't believe they tied a league record of 12 consecutive playoff losses. Grizzlies share that record of 12 playoff losses (2004 to 2006).

They miss Linsanity so much on their offence. A lack of ball movement in their stagnant offense, especially in the fourth quarter.

LeBron made Melo work hard for every one of those 30 points that he had tonight. Damn, that Miami D. is tough.

Knicks gotta step up their defence, especially on the Heat's 3 point shooters. Reggie Miller mentioned the greater attention to detail needed by the Knicks players to hustle, and defend against the perimeter shooters.

MR_BIGGS 04-30-2012 06:00 PM

^^ Knicks don't have a chance in hell to beat the Heat. I think Heat will take one at MSG and close it out in Florida.

pastarocket 04-30-2012 06:04 PM

Nowitzki shoved Perkins in the paint. Dirk was pissed after the Ibaka push. It's getting rough in the Dallas and OKC series.

411ken 04-30-2012 06:31 PM

It's great to see okc giving away white shirts now instead of matching with mavs away jersey lol

HonestTea 04-30-2012 06:32 PM

OKC!

LOL at you if you think Jeremy Lin would make any difference in this series...Lin doesn't stand a chance against Miami's suffocating defence; he'd average 8 turnovers per game...

Amare Stoudemire reportedly suffered a laceration on his left hand after punching a fire extinguisher following Monday's Game 2 loss to the Heat.
Ready, set, implosion! At least it wasn't his pitching hand, but these are the travails of an organization mired with problems from top to bottom. We'll let you know when we get an update on his status, and a 4-0 sweep is looking more likely with each passing hour.

Could miss games....What a fucking idiot....

You can tell that I'm not a Heat fan at all. Mark my words, we'll see Linsanity playing well in the playoffs in the next couple of years. He'll surprise people.

Yeah, he would turn over the ball to the Heat if he played in round 1 this year. He's only twenty three years old. It's expected that he'll make mistakes like turnovers.

I'm cheering for the Lakers and OKC to win a championship. Extinguish the Heat!

I never said he won't be playing well in the playoffs in the next couple of years....I was simply responding to your statement regarding the Knicks missing Lin in this series....If anything, Lin would probably make the Knicks worse in this series.

You are cheering for the Lakers and OKC?? What about when the meet next round??

pastarocket 04-30-2012 07:41 PM

If coach Woodson plays Lin as a reserve player coming off the bench, I still see Linsanity helping the Knicks with ball movement in their offense. He would certainly help them on the offensive side. He is prone to turnovers. I don't disagree that ball protection is one of Lin's weaknesses.

Baron Davis and Landry Fields would have to play the best basketball of their careers just to make this series close.

A$AProcky 04-30-2012 07:44 PM

Lin wont make the Knicks any better, nothing will. He's not going to get in the paint, and hes going to be rusty, and are we forgetting how horrible he looked when Melo came back? The Heat are the worst possible match up for the Knicks.

and you can't cheer for two teams WTF is that. Especially if they're rivals.

Hmmm. Some of the fans of the NBA are quite sensitive when it comes to the jokes about Amare's hand injury. Flaming tweets from people:

Ryan Edwards ‏ @Forever_TheKing

Shut up with all these Amare's hand jokes. I'd be upset if i lost in the playoffs too! Winning a ring is his dream. Do YOU play in the NBA?

Time for the NBA twitterverse to stop with the rehashed A'mare jokes and comment on the OKC/DAL game. Dirk keepin it close

This one made me laugh

Bad News: Amar'e severely hurt his hand and may miss time. Good News: It's the first time all season he was aggressive on the glass.

Who would have thought DAL-OKC would have been the most exciting series? Not me.

see.lai 04-30-2012 08:14 PM

Westbrook is doing really welll

pastarocket 04-30-2012 08:24 PM

OKC and Dallas is one the playoff series that I thought would be fun to watch. Think about it. A young, athletic team in OKC vs. the defending champs. Young and fast vs. the smart veteran team. -definitely an interesting playoff matchup.

pastarocket 04-30-2012 08:26 PM

Stop shooting bricks Westbrook! Play team basketball!

pastarocket 04-30-2012 08:35 PM

OKC!! A good start to the series, fellas. Off to Dallas!

see.lai 04-30-2012 08:37 PM

oh man jason terry.. shoulda gave to dirk for 3's

KD is such a beast..judging from early playoff performances, which team do you guys think will be challenging miami (most likely to come out of the east now that Rose is injured)?

Boston will challenge Miami if they meet, but they'll have to get past ATL first.

boston is the best bet. But with rose out, the expectation for miami to win the east is pretty high
