thats waht i like about the suns and the rockets last season. Sure they were worthy oppoents, but their effort level and their will to win were great. Thats waht I love out of a team.

other then that, team effort can get yuo so far. But talent is needed to advance

Anyways, had a very bad day, but the lakers winning it made it feel so much better !

No offense to LeBron fans haha but he just can't close out games like Kobe can and make clutch shots to silence the crowd with 2 defenders and 2 hands in his face..

Maybe Lebron will peak and get to that stage in a couple years, time will tell.

I'm still sad that david stern didn't live up to his promise to make sure lebron makes it to the finals...

But ya, what are you guys' predictions for the finals?

I say, Lakers in 5.... or 6 the latest.

There is no way in hell that Lakers will take it in 5.....

It will be a repeat and its going to be Celtics in 6 again.

Lol at the ppl who think Rondo is the shit and gna win this series np, saying celtics gna win in 6.

Personally, I think the Celts win if Allen is "on fire". Lakers win if Odom scores in double figures.

Yeah, nice flop by Dragic.

I love at the end when Craig Seger was interviewing Kobe

Seger: ...what was going on your mind when he committed the foul?
Kobe: I'm gonna kill him
Seger:...now that the games is over, how do you feel?
Kobe: I'm still gonna kill him

Not really.

His game 4 against the Cavs where he dropped 29, got 18 boards and 13 dimes is MVP like.

He has been the difference for the Celtics. If they beat the Lakers Rondo seems like the clearcut player to win MVP.

He also made the allstar team this year.

I don't think it sounds crazy at all.

As an aside, Lakers and Celtics have won 32 of the NBA’s 62 championships.

do they base NBA FINALS MVP on a Semifinal performance? The topic was NBA finals.. you are saying that he can score 0 pts 0 reb 0 assists in the finals and still be the MVP. If they are doing it now then my bad.

We can all debate about the series but there's LA fans here and Celtsucks fans here so it will never end haha.. I'm just excited and hope to see a good series.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying!

He can score nothing and contribute nothing in the finals and win MVP. lol.

I said he has shown MVP-like performances in past games and I used game 4 vs the Cavs as an example.

Lakers fans seem to have tunnel vision.
Obvioulsy if someone steps up for the Celtics in the finals (maybe Ray Allen) then they will win MVP, but the NBA is not exactly hard to predict.

Regardless of if you are a Lakers fan or Celtics fan, your thinking has to be if

Lakers win the series Kobe is MVP
Celtics win the series Rondo is MVP

barring these guys don't get injured.

They've been the difference makers for their teams so far, do you really see it changing.

Whose going to guard Rondo? Kobe or Fisher?
It wil be interesting to see who Artest guards....I want to see hin go at Pierce.

But why will they call it FINALS mvp? that is my point.... so let's say Gasol rips it up for 40 points a game and kobe doesn't score shit, u are saying Kobe will still be MVP? your point doesn't make sense, i'm sorry. Did they change it to Playoffs MVP now?

It's exciting time to be a ball fan that's for sure.

I personally think Allen will be the main threat due to his running through screens.. who knows... maybe Lakers will play a 2-3 zone

Yes Gasol will average 40 points per game.....and Kobe won't do shit....you've made a great point...

No one BUT Kobe is winning MVP on a Kobe Bryant team....excep Shaq....and Gasol ain't no Shaq.

All I was suggesting was that the past 3 series for both teams Kobe has been the difference maker for the Lakers and Rondo has been the difference maker for the Cetlics...

They've both played MVP type games.....so it is not a stretch to suggest Rondo could win MVP if he continues playing like he has....I'm suggesting he will continue to play like he has....not that he should win MVP based on the other series...
