Which do we consume more?

I've always wonder which one of the two we consume more.

Tomatoes or Potatoes?

mmmk 02-23-2009 10:46 PM

I think we consume more potatoes than we do tomatoes...

Culture_Vulture 02-23-2009 10:50 PM

In North America,
likely potatoes.

I even have a recipe book strictly on cooking potatoes :D

Armind 02-23-2009 10:51 PM

As whole world not just North America xD

azzurro32 02-23-2009 10:52 PM

you'll never see a large order of french tomato's lol

Armind 02-23-2009 10:52 PM

Well, what about tomatoe sauce for pizza/pasta/ketchup and crap like that =\

FiveDime 02-23-2009 10:53 PM

Im going to say tomato's as the worlds #1 condiment is salsa then #2 ketchup

Culture_Vulture 02-23-2009 10:57 PM

on a global scale,
I think it'd be a toss up.

Potatoes for main dishes and snacks, and tomatoes for everything in between.

van_driver 02-23-2009 10:59 PM

I'd say tomatoes

I know marathon runners who eat a sack of potatoes within a week. If your training, their very nutritious.

Btw, Poonani is a magical fruit!
