Diesel powered GTR! So I was chillin' at the Nissan dealership last night because a couple of my friends work there and I was checkin' out a brand spankin' new 370Z (which is off-topic but the car is pretty hawt, well maybe except for the taillight haha) Anyway it looks way better in person. The pictures don't do it justice. Back on topic; so my buddy working there tells me they just got a WHITE  (yes, white) GTR towed into their lot this afternoon. So from basic my knowledge there aren't any white GTRs in Van? Apparently it was originally Gunmetal but the first owner actually painted it white, to top it off it was painted the wrong white, it's not even the GTR pearl white. It's like some kind of Pontiac Sunfire white. He then decided to sell it to some dude (天才) and now this 2nd owner ... ... decided to fill his gas tank with DIESEL FUEL!! He then left a statement claiming he drove it for a couple minutes and the car died, it wouldn't even start and he didn't know why! So he had the car towed to Nissan but the GTR Specialist Tech wasn't in so he'll be taking a look at it tomorrow ... Gosh I don't even know if I should be laughing or crying ... what a waste of a beautiful car ... I wonder, is the car still saveable? It's already severely depreciated with the paint job and now the messed engine ... I wonder if it's still worth anything ... |
wtf? how dumb can you be to fill a gasoline car with diesel.... such a waste. |
why isn't there any White GTR in Van? I do not get it? I wonder if the car is under warranty for the engine. Is it a joke? |
The diesel nozzle won't even a car that runs on gasoline. |
my friend put diesel in his neon it can be done it has been done |
The "wrong" white to you might've been the "right" white for him. |
heres the story from a member posted here hahahaa http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234121 read post #10 |

wtf? i'm not understanding it here.... first the op said its a white GTR then say there are no skyline in white.... and i just saw a white skyline GTR the other day on barnet.... so was it a GTR (R35) or a Skyline GTR (R32) that was originally gun metal and painted white? |
|

1) This was the car the one that was sold at southside for 110k 2) It was sold to a young asian guy 3) The car is now at Richmond Nissan because the diesel is in the injectors + fuel lines 4) There is more than one white one 5) This is the factory white pearl, not one that was originally gun metal. |

1) Not what the dealership told me but oh well that's not the point anyway ... 2) Yeah I figured that much ... 3) Bingo! 4) Good to get that clarified. 5) Same as #1 Can it be saved? Will there be any warranty or will the engine need to be replaced?... and at what cost? ... |
So many different perspectives on this story. Here's one from someone that works at a Nissan dealership on Nasioc http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1706031 |
Can't they read the word "gas" or "diesel" .....? It's not that bad, "just" a $100k car. How would we react if someone put diesel into a Ferrari Enzo... |

Plus even if that did work I'm sure the sensors and all those sensitive gizmos that come with that 110k+ car are gonna be all whack! |
^It doesn't run because there's diesel in it. A gasoline engine won't ignite diesel. That's why it won't run or start. I doubt there's any permanent damage. |
pics of the white gtr? |
lol gasoline fail. |
^ Won't be too bad, Just drain out the diesel fuel, and clean the fuel system. Replace fuel injectors and Fuel filter. Let it run for a while with Gasoline and it should be fine after a day or two. It would be quite troublesome since/if the cylinders were filled with fuel. :) Anyway, wish the car good luck.... |
