We raced him with a B18A integra w/ exhaust, intake and almost beat him

Berzerker 03-18-2009 10:19 PM

Exactly same car with Vtec would have walked on him. I don't mind skylines I just hate that people think because there are some badass GTR's out there that every skyline is gods gift to the roads.

Berz out.

the shocker 03-18-2009 10:45 PM

i agree and that is why i cant wait to take him in my Sr S12

solo_ryder 03-19-2009 09:06 AM

I love GTS-T owners. They are badass beyond comprehension. Proly cause they couldnt afford the GT-R model.

I always get a mad staredown from skyline owners, proly cause I am not cool enough to drive a RWD initial D machine like their GTS-T with kenji decals that runs 12's in the 1/4 mile. The sr s12 would walk one and so would the KLZE.

down_hill_dog 03-19-2009 04:48 PM

You know, it seems like anything with the flying M on it gets a mean staredown man.

I drive around a somewhat stock car and get revved on by anyone who has a drivers liscence it seems.

Its funny seeing their faces though after being walked on by a Mazda waggin'.. Especially old men in middle age crisis cars.

the shocker 03-19-2009 04:58 PM

I love that especially when 75% of the people dont know what just beat them
I get asked if my car is toyota, rx7, and a couple other things

underscore 03-22-2009 11:07 AM

Gebys fast, Dave should be fast when he's done

Slo40 03-23-2009 07:36 AM

With all this shit talkin, I think we need to have a good ol' fashion ashcroft beat down.

Berzerker 03-23-2009 07:47 AM

Damn it.. come down to the fast track (mission) and play with the big dogs down here ;) I know of at LEAST 5 Honda's that will be running 10's... possibly even a couple hitting 9's

I'll make an ashcroft trip once this year just because....

Berz out.

Slo40 03-23-2009 08:01 AM

I won't be able to get more than a few runs total at mission, I need a cage... hehe

I'm down with that tho

Berzerker 03-23-2009 08:13 AM

Your gonna be running 10's? Cage needed for 10.99 and under.

Do they at least wipe the dirt off the track at Ashcroft? haha jk.

Berz out.

Slo40 03-23-2009 08:33 AM

A minimum 5 point hoop system is required 11.49 and faster by NHRA rules.

Ashcroft is actually a pretty good track with lots of traction.

Tchleung 03-23-2009 06:02 PM

If you're faster then 135mph you need a full cage and liscence. so for all the honda guys... Yep.

im in!

MIsson is A LOT Faster track I was always a consistent .4 slower then Ashcroft.

underscore 03-23-2009 08:52 PM

maybe from the alt diff? (if the tracks are where I think they are)

Tchleung 03-23-2009 09:06 PM

Altitute for sure, and ashcroft always was inconsistant for me and others.

jeffh 03-23-2009 09:27 PM

aschroft is a great track, its just high up so not good for E-bragging rights

Slo40 03-24-2009 06:32 AM

Ashcroft alitiude is 1700' ASL, Mission is 25' ASL... Altitude conversion

I find Ashcroft very consistant, the only variables are air and track temps, and how consistant that car and driver are. Tom, you were inconsistant at Ashcroft because you kept changing your setup every run.

Tchleung 03-24-2009 05:09 PM

It wasn't just me, Mike was having the same problems as well. And last time we went when you weren't there, one time I'd launch with same settings and it would over spin, next time same setup and it bogs BAD...

fourtirefire 03-24-2009 05:17 PM

There are far too many variables that will or will not make you lose traction going down the strip. When I was racing my mustang I was consistantly running the same times/60'. I had simmilar results with all other previous vehicles up there. It's once you get so highly modified and making so much power without slicks that anything becomes a variable from how the stars are aligned to how far off axis the earth is rotating.

jeffh 03-24-2009 05:20 PM

truth, my teg ran a 2.1 or 2.2 60 foot all night long, my times were all over the map at first but settled into withing .2 of a sec of each for my last 3 after i learnt how to drive

Berzerker 03-24-2009 05:31 PM

How many runs do you usually get in at Ashcroft? Is it a night thing like mission or?

Berz out.

Tchleung 03-24-2009 05:56 PM

depends how busy it is... sometimes 5-6.. somtimes 10-11. there are night drags once in a while, but mostly day drags.

My car ran consistant 60's don't get me wrong.. consistantly slow. 1.95X all day... it either bogged tho, or over spun and I had to feather the throttle alot.

Slo40 03-25-2009 06:42 AM

you were also having boost controller issues too and your boost was all over the map remember... It's only the 60' that tells you if the track is consistant, not your ET's. Mike and I have always run very consistant 1.7-1.6 60's all day long, pretty much every time.

btw... how many times did you get below 2.0?? ;)
