If you're gonna do a bodykit, do full Mugen kit all around.

Timpo 04-19-2009 03:51 AM

watch out for some cheap bodykits they won't fit well...

Ikkaku 04-19-2009 12:04 PM

rocketz is really a hit or miss... they might fit fairly well or they'll be ridiculously off.

turner492 04-19-2009 09:12 PM

k my body kit is all installed and primed.. gets painted tomorow.
but everything fit very well.
only thing that needed a little bit more work was the side skirts.
just had to leave the original lip sides on to make them work better.
but its on all very well and looks awesome.

Why did you install it without painting the parts first? Its easier to paint them off the car and install them after. Unless your respraying the whole car or intend to take them all off again for painting. Either way you should paint them all while they are off the car.

not me doing it for one..? and because the guy used some kind of fiberglass to metal glue.. the the back bumper after its painted will pretty much look like its bonded together.. same with the sides, but the front bumper hes taking off to paint seperately. from my understanding of what the painter told me.

DavidNguyen 04-20-2009 03:18 PM

where did u get that kit? and how much?

RenoMan 04-20-2009 03:18 PM

your bottom mid mesh grill placement is lil crooked... did they make it that way? there uneven dude

k20a 04-20-2009 07:34 PM

ahhh another riced our dc5 on the streets. sighs

Berzerker 04-20-2009 07:53 PM

Do NOT let them mold the kit to the car. Keep everything its own piece. Do not fill the seams between the kit and the car before paint. It may look good NOW but if anything happens its a nightmare to fix. Paint the pieces first and then put them on the car.

turner492 04-20-2009 09:24 PM

its not actually crooked.. the car is on stands on the oneside.. so its tilted.. and in person.. i havent noticed it being crooked.. ill look tomorow when i go to the shop..
and no not riced out.. im getting a greddy turbo soon.. just need 2 more cheques to be comfortable with the price and install..
and well what ever if anything happens its under the warrenty of the place where im getting it done so itll be he his ass not mine.

turner492 04-20-2009 09:25 PM

and got it from rocketz.net

RenoMan 04-20-2009 09:51 PM

open you eyes and look , its not the installation its the kit itself and go put a tape measure and stick it in i bet you its probably an 1inch off

MWR34 04-20-2009 10:14 PM

rocketz is a good company, great for the price you pay.

turner492 04-20-2009 10:32 PM

hmm never noticed that, ill have to look tomorow, thanks for pointing that out to me, i thought you where talking about the grill mesh it self. never mind, ill look at that though, thanks again.

RenoMan 04-20-2009 10:45 PM

by the way does rocketz just sell fibreglass kits only?
