| PIN Number Reversal - Good Tip?
Got this in an e-mail.. Quote:
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse.
For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcast on CTV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists. I checked with my Bank to see if this was correct and staff said yes this information is correct.

Neat! Im guessing pin numbers that are like 2112 aren't accepted when you sign up for a debit card

What bank do you use anyways? | i didn't check with the bank. that part being said was part of the e-mail, i should've taken it out so people don't get confused

It's pretty hard to push your pin backwards when you're not getting robbed let alone when you have a gun pointed at you all nervous.

fake i read about this and on a tv show it said it was fake... another thing that is fake is that if you left your keys in your car and locked it you can call home or whereever the other immobilizer is and tell them to unlock it... that is also fake
