Damn, I missed it! But glad to hear that the Brawn GP team did well! From looking at the results, I can't believe Jarno Trulli came back and finished 3rd from starting last on the grid! Same with Lewis Hamilton and Timo Glock! Looks like the McLaren-Mercedes team is competitive still at the start of the new season. Look like the Toyota team is up there as well! |

this is actually the first formula one race that i paid attention to and watched the whole race. thats y i never spotted those brake coolers. |
Quote:
Yup, those are brake coolers that Ferrari started putting onto their car 2-3 years ago... then Renault followed suit and everyone else also started to use it. Anyone sees the resemblance of Brawn's car and early 2000s Ferrari? haha Ferrari should have let Brawn return; Massa would have been WDC and Ferrari wouldn't be in the shithole they're in right now. That's what they get for trying to italianizing the team again instead of reaching out for talents. |
whats this KERS tech? i know the theory behind it is to recover wasted energy while breaking, but how does one gain 80HP with a push of a button for that short burst of 80HP? |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regenerative_braking And teams have different ways of storing that energy. However, KERS is heavy. Some teams don't run it because it limits the amount of ballast they can run on the car to achieve the desired handling characteristics. |
What happen with Kubica? I heard he got into a accident or something |
Trulli lost his podium for safety car infraction. Vettel fined and given 10 spot penalty for next weekend. lol Vettel what were you thinking. I find the KERS to be quite fascinating and look forward to when all teams start using it. |

What a race! |

because I wasn't 100% specific in saying that F1 is available in HD but Canadian (BBC) feeds aren't? |
@ KERS question: there is a motor attached to the crankshaft that directly inputs power to the crankshaft when the KERS Boost is activated. Quote:
so now both cars are front wingless and bolting down the straight section that follows, only to end in disaster for both. kubica hits the wall pretty hard and loses both left side wheels (seen rolling down the course, haha) and vettel rubs up against the wall as well, losing his front left wheel. he then attempts to continue driving with 3 wheels and one dangling under the front end, hahaha |

Malaysia is going to be a wild card too.. haha |
Vettel got a 10 grid penalty for causing the accident and then was subsequently fined $50,000 for not pulling over after his car was damaged. He continued to drive it around the track probably thinking that he might be able to salvage 2 points as no one is allowed to pass him... |

The team should have been smarter than to let him drive after. |
lol i didnt even know wtf he was thinking driving on that wheel.. the fucking thing was jammed under the body/axel lol, u could see it wearing away |
I was watching the race late at night 2 nights ago, it was pretty good. I'm rooting for Kubica, he was in 2nd and crashed... that suckeeddd... |
