These dates creep me out all the time, and they always have such good scientific evidence to back themselves up so it makes it sound so real, whether it'd be happening or not =(
And all these discovery channel shows. Blah!

Now I wish Gundams really existed. Then we can fly into outer space and avoid these flying meteors and live in those outer space plants and escape earth. Damn those Japanese animes cramming these things into our heads.

Revscene, fear not. I got an idea. What if I told you about a plan that could not only save the earth, but productive and useful for us? It might even turn the recession around, and accelerate economic growth!

First, we know that the sun shoots out plasma balls into outer space. These hit earth every day, but according to the article, 2012 is when the next solar storm occurs. This means that a solar storm that has been occuring in the past is bound to happen again, however, in the past we didn't have gadgets, internet, or even revscene to get affected by the solar storm. BTW, yes revscene will probably be down for a quite a bit if this solar storm occurs. Anyways, back on topic. Solar storms occur when the sun emits plasma from its surface:

This shows that even though this has been happening for awhile, scientists have a good gut feeling that we're probably due for a huge gigantic out of the ordinary spike sometime coincidentally around 2012, the year we're expected to all die:

Usually when this happens, a safe amount is absorbed by earth. The remaining majority is flung outwards into space:

Alright, now let's get a little serious. We want to save the earth, right? Well, what should we do, you might ask. First, we need to create something that has enough force to move our moon. An atomic bomb should do for now

Alright, once we have placed a bomb on the side of the moon, the astronauts should return back to earth because it's dangerous. Then, using some advanced physics, trigonometry, geometry, basically everything we understand about math, we should be able to calculate which point on the moon is needs to have force exerted on it to cause it to move a certain direction.

Then we explode the bomb on the moon. It should look something like this, except not on earth of course

Now, after exploding the bomb, it should cause the moon to travel a certain direction. Obviously we want it to hit the plasma cause we don't want the plasma to hit us. Once the plasma and the moon come into contact, we should see some Disruptive Hyper-Magnetic Plasma Disruption (DHMPD for short) occur for a short period of time. During this time, you'll see something like this in the sky while it happens.

And there you go! The world is saved for just a bit longer. But wait, we're not finished with the plasma yet. Once the plasma hits the moon, the moon will come back and orbit around the earth once again, and during this time, we can land scientists on the moon to harvest the plasma.

The harvesting should occur in a series of 3 periods:

1) Landing and discovering:

2) Construction of machines on moon:

3)Harvesting of plasma (**PICS ILLUSTRATE POINT ONLY**)

Once we start harvesting plasma, we can use this abundant resource to build many useful things, which will jump start the economy and accelerate growth. We would be able to plasma for things like............

Plasma Cutters

Novelty plasma balls

Microwaves, cell phones, computers....

and of course, PLASMA SCREEN TV's!!!!!!

So my conclusion is that this fact (not a theory, it's a fact based on something) of the plasma ball heading towards earth in 2012 will actually _benefit_ the US economy, since NASA is owned and operated by the US Gov't. Japan won't have anything on the electronics industry after america starts harvesting the plasma rich moon that we all look up at the sky to.

I'd just like to add in what I think plasma farms could look like:

these are the potential farm silo designs. we could start making Plasma-Farm designs and submitting them to NASA. Just give me a share of whatever you make from doing it

They say it "could" happen... but all that means is that it's theoretically possible... even if it's a one in a billion chance. Unless they tell me in concrete terms like there is X percentage likelihood, I'm going to take this with a grain of salt.

Get your facts straight! That's obviously a shield with a 0.37 phase variance in the shield harmonics causing it to have a reverse polarity... definitely not a forcefield. I can tell that from 3 light years away!
