I often see things like this and go "Oh my God these people are so freaking stupid!" and then I think "Wait, if they're so freaking stupid, how did they make enough money to buy a car like that? How come I'm so awesomely smart but I drive a '94 MR2 Turbo?"

Then I fold my fingers intro a triangle under my chin right under my soul patch, squint my eyes like I'm in deep thought and go "Hmmm." It makes me feel better knowing I'm philosophical.

I absolutely agree.

How do you buy a car without test driving it to make sure it fits your needs? A car like the M3 will only require a couple miles before you're able to determine whether it's going to suit your or not...

And to answer the question, you'll have a hard enough time trying to refund a car within the same hour as purchasing it... not to mention a month later.

(for 55+yo people) -- ive taken m3 for a ride and i must agree..its not worth 100,000

I've read this over and over again and still can't stop shaking my head at the ridiculousness of this situation.

VR6GTI 03-29-2009 04:14 PM

This happens all the time. People take the car home, own for it a few days then regret sits in. Sell it take a loss, chalk it up as a lesson or live with it.

perfect_g 03-29-2009 05:03 PM

Ill give her $20k and my nearly new 335i

dk_wasabi 03-29-2009 05:05 PM

sorry. this story smells like total bs.

no one 'accidentally' buys an m3.

Synaptik 03-29-2009 05:14 PM

i agree. most likely bought, and then couldnt make the payments or are having regrets sinking so much money into it.

this has nothing to do with the car itself.

hk20000 03-29-2009 05:59 PM

This is like..... a not funny version of "hey gais! I put sand into my Audi engine and it stalled!"

GC8 03-29-2009 06:16 PM

so i say bs situation

oinkoinkpig 03-29-2009 06:59 PM

Since it's such a crappy car I'll buy it for $1.......

Synaptik 03-29-2009 07:19 PM

i offer 5k.

dk_wasabi 03-29-2009 07:19 PM

CivicTypeRice 03-29-2009 07:19 PM

straight trade for my civic?

Kalize 03-29-2009 07:24 PM

lol at the old woman who bought the car

There is a return policy of some kind; different between car companies. I remember signing a 24 hour return policy on the last car I bought.

CivicTypeRice 03-29-2009 07:56 PM

By law you have 1 month to return the vehicle from date of purchase. If it's been over 1 month It's too late.

geeknerd 03-29-2009 08:12 PM

they might give u a good deal if u decided to sell it to them and buy a different bmw?

Kang19 03-29-2009 08:17 PM

I wouldn't exactly call it a good deal......
