I hardly believe the local news will pay attention to it unless there's some public
interest or it has been brought before the court. Especially her brother is under
investigation, I mean who will read an article that says "suspect's dog injured by
cops, people on RS wants an apology". Dude, they are not public complaint
department, so definitely not going to take it serious unless there're some public
concerns or some police spokeperson says something about it.

I know a girl who got t-boned by a cop car without its siren on, that was some
serious shit, she was in coma for few days. Her family complained it to various
newsgroups and it was never aired after a short interview. No one can do shit about it

She should be mad at her brother, not the cops.

some newspaper tried to contact her this morning about it i don't think she wants to be in the paper etc. but she has the contact info if she changes her mind. They should be sued for the dog's medical bill at a minimum in my opinion, the dog won't be able to eat or drink properly for a while since his tongue is cut and his jaws broken all because of this cop that was too trigger happy. There wasn't a reason to rush to the back. The dog was a 9 month old staffordshire (around 60 lbs) that's neutered and came out of his house to see who is there and got shot. the other thing is the dog is an "inside" dog and they hardly ever let him out. it just so happens that they let him out in the yard to piss and shit and the cops happened to show up at the same time. they should have known there is a dog in the back yard and tried the front door again.

I seriously hope this makes its way to the news.

doesn't really make a difference i was just trying to give a little bit more detail. I don't think there are too many 16 year old kids carrying around guns and doing killings so there wasn't a need for the cops to rush to the back knowing there would be a dog. they could have waited an extra minute or two in the front he isn't a wanted fugitive that would slip away from the back never to return.
