Plugs are only used as a temporary fix, it can be pulled while driving which is why it is illegal. Shops still do it but that is only when the owner needs a new tire and doesnt want to spend money on a patch that they will throw away in a short period of time.

Once they get it into the Shop, remember everybody is getting their snowies put on now.You should expect a fairly long wait ,whilst the people who have paid for tires have them installed .

What kind of car do you have?
cause when I had a nail in my tire, I just took it to Acura (yes I have an acura) and they only charged me $25 (they will patch it up from the inside)
just book an appointment and it should be done quickly

My vehicle is an Acura EL.

I assume tire shops would do a better job repairing the tire, btu then again assuming makes an ass out of you and me.

Anyone shed some light?
