REVscene Automotive Forum - Sick Cars in Vancouver

If an asian kid drives that Techart Cayman, he needs a little more practice driving.. Saw him stopped in the middle of Willingdon and Kingsway (I had a front row seat to catch this) making a left turn going south. No oncoming cars, light turns red, reverses from literally the middle of the huge intersection.

He's a pretty good driver. Smoked my S2k at Mission Track day.

This was taken at crescent road chevron so must have been just before/after!

I caught up with the guy this morning and asked him how he got it here, he said to me that its similar to a Fiat and nobody had a problem with it?? Really overpowering Italian accent though...

It did have a BC inspection sticker in the window, and the european plate mount was still on the back with the BC plate crudely just screwed into it

The GTM was released a few years ago, I guess theyre just starting to sneak into Canada. IIRC, the kit was 20k USD, you supply the Corvette C5 donor car and Porsche transaxle. All said and done its roughly a 100-120k hole in your wallet. Cool alternative to anything off the showroom floor though.

The red plate constitutes a consulate from a different country. They are allowed to import their vehicle under the RIV program for a certain period of time, usually within their term or assignment in Canada.
