Most of Bimmers have it. Corvettes also.

LOL it's not a C63. I was there to see the basically the whole project happen. Started off as a regular C class doesn't matter which one it is, then every week I would see something done to it. First it was quad mufflers, then smoked lights , then off the badges, etc.. etc. Was kind of amusing to watch the results.

I think it's nicely done even though it isn't a c63. not "sick" though

Had me fooled pretty good  , but then again i didnt get a chance to actually take a closer look at it, walked by and thought it was a debadged C63. Pretty nicely done even though there isnt burbly V8 growl under the hood.

I have the heads up display in my 7 series but no speedometer, I believe only M version cars have the speedometer.

the M cars show the rpm when you hit the "m" button on the steering wheel. (at least thats how it is on the x5m) its kind of cool changes color etc. my 7 shows speed and navigation directions.

i actually went to buy an m5 but it kept annoying me that the 550i with m sport looks pretty much identical. ended up going with a 7.

just saw your question on the other thread about the packages I have. it has tech, exec, and msport

i actually have a question for you jah....when you keep your headlights on "auto" setting are the rings only on or does the actual bulb turn on as well? when I keep it on auto my HID bulb along with the rings is on but interior lights only turn red when it gets dark out. I'd like it much better if the halo rings would stay on during the day without me having to actually turn the knob to the off position.

i love the feeling of driving around in a big body sedan...

when the time comes my 7 replacement will have to be...

I agree that the 550i looks very similar to the M5, but if that is the reason you didn't get a M5, the 7 is right car for you.

Yup, I really hate the fact that BMW didn't make the M5 a bit more aggressive and I hate the fact that the 5 series interior is almost identical to the 7 series interior, laziness on the part of BMW.

I believe you have to code the DRL's so the you can leave the switch to auto and leave the halo's on. The great thing about BMW's is you can basically code them at home but I just don't have time to learn how to code so I'm getting coding done remotely. Here's a few things for the 7 series that you can get coded, supposedly you can code in the turn signals into the heads up display like the 5 series but it works on some 7 series;

-Removal Of Seat Belt Chimes
-Removal Of Seat Belt Warnings
-Windows up/down with key
-Windows up/down with comfort access (Comfort Access Required)
-Unlock doors when engine is turned off (Single pull on door handle)
-Removal of CIC Accept Warning (faster boot up after removal)
-Activate DVDinMotion (Play Videos on the go and stopped)
-Removal of camera warnings (requires cameras)
-Add Fuel Stop Proposals
-Remove window safety feature (windows will not stop rolling if door is opened)
-Remove Amber Side Marker Lights in headlights (Euro look)
-Fogs on with High Beams (Fog Lights will not turn off when high beams or used)
-Fog Lights on when car is unlocked
-Open and close trunk with key and inside trunk release button (requires power lift-gate)
-Add Digital Speed in Center Cluster
-Auto stop feature off when car is turned on
-Auto Climate Control off hen car is turned on

I don't know if you seen the new LED headlamps on the LCI 7 series but they're basically halos with no bulbs which remain on 24/7, absolutely amazing looking lights and some people have already retrofitted them on pre LCI's.

The RR Ghost is basically a 7 series but the "real" flagship car for the BMW. There's a guy over on the 7 series forum who got rid of his 7 series and got a Ghost and he said the Ghost is about 30% better than the 7 series. Can't really go wrong with the Ghost imo because its the ultimate sedan.

Who is doing the coding for you? I'd like to get mine done too.

Thanks

I'm getting the coding done by alpinemss, the cost is $100 + $50 for the cable deposit which is refundable but I'll be getting the cable in 2 weeks so he might not charge you the $50 cable fee. E-mail him at alex@alpinemss.com, I'll give him a heads up that you'll be e-mailing him.

ALEX1988 10-10-2012 09:54 PM

There's a local guy on e90post can do the coding, also Nixon can do most of the codings too.

Yup, there is a local guy that does e90/e92 coding but I've read that the F01 is a bit different when it comes to coding and some of the files aren't readily available like they are with the e9x's.

And I didn't know Nixon does this type of coding, I thought they only did autologic coding to clear error codes because I had my e92 coded in 2010 when I swapped my tails and they used autologic.

If you think about it a C350 4matic is more track friendly than a C63 because of maintenance and traction. :fullofwin:

It does see track action:
