It's amazing how the owner drives this car regardless of weather condition or what day it is (4/20 hello? dt full of idiots :heckno: )
It is a 7 figure car.

Great thing about it being a 7 figure car is if anything does happen to it, it's usually worth investing in fixing it and the owners can also afford it so the car won't end up rotting in a barn/junkyard somewhere. Driving it in the rain on 4/20 is nothing compared to what the nutters at Goodwood do with their several million dollar classics.

Completely agreed. But you know the norm here, people don't even bring out their 200K Ferrari on a rainy day, so it is unusual to see a Gullwing out and about.
And there's a Gullwing specialist on the island. He restores a lot of valuable classics.

^^ That's Rudi. They do excellent work.

My dad actually brought me to Rudi's shop when I was ~10, jaws were dropped. Back then he had quite a few 190sl, a Ferrari Dino, and a 935 slantnose which I think might've been his personal car. Was so different from any cars I knew about at the time. Rudi was telling me how he used a mallet to bang out the wheel well shape and to a 10 year old kid it made no sense how a hammer could make such smooth curves.

I know I have pics from my chunky 3.2mp Sony cybershot on a CD somewhere...

White Slantnose? He still has it. I was at his shop recently and saw a lot of cars there; wouldn't name them on the net to respect his privacy. :)

Finally, a proper wrap job without all the extra leather couch bullshit. The gold looks baller as fcuk.

Certainly flashy, but still looks good.

Drove past this and couldn't snap a pic of my own, luckily my co-worker was walking to his car and took a photo

Here is the Act that kwy is referring to: Armoured Vehicle and After-Market Compartment Control Act

What insurance store do you go to where they come out and inspect your car before giving you insurance!?

Hondaracer 04-22-2014 09:46 PM

the three peice twists are what my dads 993 has, hate em

westopher 04-22-2014 10:45 PM

Ok well when I buy a 993/964 I'll be giving you a call to purchase them then. They are fucking fantastic. The only wheels I'd rather have are carrera cup wheels (which I oddly have on my M3)

Hondaracer 04-23-2014 09:06 AM

I've always disliked the look of the rivets/bolts around the outside of the rim

He loves em so more power to anyone who does but I find the turbo twist so much nicer
