Thanks again Dylan. Can only take so many pics with my potato whilst talking with folks, so it's nice to be able to revisit the morning's display.

Testarossa with B.C. collector plates, dude saw me taking a photo and honked as he passed. I couldn't believe I got to hear a Ferrari air horn in person

I wrote down the plate number but won't post it in case it's against the rules

Got a chance to take a few pics of one of the first batch of Supras in Vancouver. The fact that it's a BMW doesn't bother me but seeing all those fake vents in person when I know that they can be functional, does bother me about it.

Full album on my site Here

first two shots are great

sale-wise i think these will flop, lighter weight, fixed roof and maybe build quality (not to be confused with reliability) is all it has against the mid-engine vette in the same price bracket

i struggle to see who's the demographics:definitely not og supra fans, diehard bmw guys would rather have m2 or even a cayman, and not a 2+2 for grand touring

Asians, (I'm Asian) when was the last time you saw an Asian guy driving a Corvette? Srs, when? The Corvette has been great value since the dawn of time compared to Japanese counterparts. The ppl looking at Japanese sports cars are not cross-shopping Chevys. The guys buying M4's could not be caught dead driving a vette even if it's better. It's a huge branding issue for the American cars in the Asian markets.

The Americans have aways made a better bang for the buck, Vettes, Mustangs, CTSV's etc. But when was the last time you saw an Asian guy driving one of those?

Honestly all the time in Richmond. Of course still dominated by brown guys locally, then white guys near Langley.

The new 2015+ mustang has been completely overrun by asian boys. They love it, especially the gt350. In Richmond the last year when I see a nice new mustang, it’s almost always an asian kid. Cheap power I suppose. Only the mustang tho, not the Camaro or challenger for some reason

Plenty? Compared to Type R's, M3/M4 and AMG cars, GTR?

I live in Richmond.

Asians make up like 0.1% of the American Sportscar owners. 99% of them are rolling around in M and Amg cars. Let's be real, it's a rarity. All the time is one hell of a stretch unless you see the same 5 guys in the GT and Hellcat on Odlin. If there were 10 mustangs in a parking lot and you had to bet 10k on who owned them, you'd lay down money on Asians? What are the chances that half of those were owned by Asians if you see them all the time?

They own them, but enough to make a sales difference because they are cross-shopping the Supra Vs Corvette. I don't think so. The demographics/target market for Vettes are def not young Asian kids.

There's definitely a growing number of Asians driving domestics. Mainland youths have a strong following for mustangs and you'll see plenty of them around UBC/SFU and in Richmond.

If American companies can up their interior game, I would totally be down to buy an American performance car. But for now, it's a night and day difference when you compare it with European / Japanese (Lexus, Mazda, Acura)'s interior.

I mean damn, let's take a RS poll. I don't know the demographics of this forum.

I'd venture to guess most Asians here don't own an American product, period. Look at the latest post of your car thread, it's all Japanese and European.

might get an odd uncle with F150 Platinum too!

(I'm chinese.... i've had a 16' mustang 5L GT track pack....)

The Wrangler and F150 are damn fine cars. I honestly don't think the Japanese make anything as good for their intended purposes. Resale/reliability aside.

You see them, I'm not denying they are there and buy them. The Mustang/Vette has been a huge value for money for many years. If the Asian market was that big, we would have seen Type R/S2k/FRS/STI/M4/M3/AMG sales be butchered by the American makes years ago. That just never happened.

I see no less than 5 M/AMG a day in Richmond. The last time I saw a Chinese kid driving a C6 corvette? About 1.5 years ago. I've owned an Astro Van, but I'm not even top 100 on Chevy's target market list when they were making that thing.

The number of M3/AMG in Aberdeen centre right now is literally 50 m cars to like 1 Mustang.
