Intermitent problem with HTC Diamond - to fix or not to fix

hey gais,

I have this HTC Diamond which I believe is a refurbished unit from Telus. I think it's refurbished because it's a replacement phone from the first one that crapped out on me before. Now it all kind of works ok and stuff but once in a blue moon the phone's screen fail to come on and I can tell it "thinks" it's on as buttons and taps are responded - I just can't see a thing. This has been always rectified with a soft reset.

Is this a valid reason for me to go back to Telus and ask for another replacement phone? The phone itself is very good (when the screen is working anyway) and I don't know how to reproduce the faults because there is no specific circumstances in which this happens, it just happens....But only ever so rare.

What do you think?

Try installing a custom ROM on it. If the issue persists, flash back to stock and bring it in.

Becareful , if you flash you will void your warranty.

I can reflash and relock it no problem.... but still can I just tell them it "sometimes does this"? Coz if you just test it normally probably nothing happens....

dont reflash, take it back, they wont ask questions.
