I agree this guy deserved it, but theres been numerous times when cops beat up innocent people or people that don't deserve it. What if a cop pulled you over cause you were going 60km, and he says you were going 80, and you didn't agree with the cop and said "im sorry officer, I don't believe I was speeding that much".

the cop then gets pissed because you're not respecting him and kicks your ass.

this happens all the time in the non-western world. it shouldn't be happening here. (well to people that can't afford to bribe the officers).

He deserved it for the high speed chase and endangering a lot of people. Especially when he drove into oncoming traffic. There was almost a head on collision at high speed! This was a tragedy in the making until it ended. Also, this is all happening really fast, and decisions have to be made quickly, without time for evaluation. The officer, already high with adrenalin, and upset at the reckless actions of the criminal and potential danger as he gets closer, decided the best method to apprehend him without further danger was to boot him in the head. It's hard to fight back after that, and his previous reckless action showed there was the potential for him to try it.

After being kicked, he should have had his head rammed into the concrete wall for good measure, because I don't think the kick was a strong enough deterrent.

And before people say how would I like it if that was me being chased by the cops and it happened to me, I wouldn't do something that would put an officer in the position where he thought I needed to be kicked in the head.

Wow. What a room full of pansies. You all remind me of a bunch of teenagers who do nothing but complain about mom and dad's draconian house rules but wouldn't dare leave the house to live on their own.

can't believe so many people think what the cop did was ok or right

Yea, the guy might deserve it, but the kick also shows that the cops has no regard for the law
Today he is taking justice into his own hand and beating up criminal as he see fit, tomorrow he might start executing people who "he thinks" deserve it

LOS ANGELES -- The officer caught on tape kicking a suspect in the head reportedly owns a clothing company that glorifies gang life, according to the Whittier Daily News.

...

The clothing line "features some of the hardest authentic jail house threads for the streets. Straight from East L.A., Califas..." according to its website.
